Burndens Bogs
The memories of the night he tore City a new ringpiece will stay with me forever. A flamboyant looking fella in his pomp at a time when Chelsea had the glam player market sewn up.Garry Jones,Alan Waldron,Willie Morgan were our glamour boys back in the mid 70's. Rip Garry

Walkden White
RIP Garry. Part of the team in my early years of supporting. Part of our history that will not be forgotten.
Members bolty58
Can only add to what has been said. After Wyn Davies and then Franny Lee moved on, he was our next natural hero (if you discount Gareth Williams and Terry Wharton!). All the birds fancied him and he had a flamboyant streak about him. As others have said, that night against City will live with me forever. Also glad that Junot remembers that quick thinking goal against Jim McDonough. There was another away at Nottm Forest where he came from the back of the net to nut the ball off the goalies outstretched palm and then slotted a goal which was given. RIP Garry. Never forgotten. ianovit
i missed the City game as I was off school with a cold and my mum wouldnt let me go. Garry was one of my heroes whose career was hugely curtailed by injury but I saw him play a Charity game on Holy Harbour about 25 - 30 years ago. Garry still looked fantastic tanned and well groomed and his first touch was tremendous. Thoughts are with your family RIP Garry.
