Super Bock
What's parking like at the ground? The car park behind the main stand is quite big but does fill up, if you get there earlier enough, say 1.30pm you should be fine. Failing that there are loads of residential streets near the ground. The later you leave it, the further away you'll be parked

Dr Faustus
I was toying with going via waterloo and at least show the kids a snippet of London, even if its from Golden Jubilee Bridge TBH, I'm not sure what I'm going to do... is there a best route across, and should I have booked travel cards before now? Exiled Girl
And if you're thinking of catching a bus, you'll need a travelcard, or Oyster, or a contactless card of some description.

tomski
Why not Waterloo? Thought that was the way. Overground when you get there. Doesn't take long
Dr Faustus
I'm sure one of those jolly Londoners will point me in the right direction- in between all the whistling and chimney sweeping.
Site Supporter Biggish Dave Posted August 12, 2016 Site Supporter Share Posted August 12, 2016 (edited) The Wellington at Waterloo then some religious sounding gaff by the river in Kingston I believe is our port of call Edited August 12, 2016 by Biggish Dave
Super Bock
Waterloo tap is good, but it's not as close to the station as Euston/Piccadilly. It's closer to the Southbank. If the weather is like it is today the riverside pubs in Kingston are a great shout

ex_midlandwhite
Yeah for anyone thinking train from Waterloo, going Euston to Vauxhall and train from there is a good shout, especially those rushing on way back.

When in doubt, take the Vic line, it's always quicker
QFPants
Kingston for me, especially if the weather is decent. AFC Wimbledon have confirmed away fans can use their bars tomorrow too, think they make a decision each game but apparently we are ok

QFPants
As would I, hence I'll be heading elsewhere. Message on their site said "Strongbow dark fruits now available, away fans welcome". Can imagine Bowtun Baked being delighted at the number of 'pinko' shirts in the away end at kick off

bolton va va
Yeah for anyone thinking train from Waterloo, going Euston to Vauxhall and train from there is a good shout, especially those rushing on way back. Aye, i'm rushing back to Euston, so is it still best to head back to Norbiton station which, i've been told, is the nearest ? For the match, i saw Wimbledon at the Accrington play off game & they were pretty poor but very hard working & physical. I wouldn't have fancied our chances with last season's team but i'm more optimistic we can stand up to them now, Same team as last Saturday, with Mavies in for Pratley,
Exiled Girl
There's about twice as many trains from New Malden to Vauxhall as from Norbiton, and slightly more from Raynes Park. Nothing to be gained by going to Kingston. However, NM is further away. Load Citymapper on your smartphone, that should tell you which is best.
