I take it this article from 1994 was from Rembrandt, a fitting tribute if I may say so.

Quite an epitaph! Appeared in the Independent on the morning of the Oldham FA Cup quarter-final, we read it on the train up from Euston with the author himself present. Great times, apart from the result later that day....

Absolutely gutted- proper sounding bloke. A while ago he posted a comment about a load of not rights singing Celtic songs on the bus going home. I'd obviously been on the bus with him wanted to meet him, indeed I may have done unknowingly.

We knew he was ill but the black humour that Cassie shared with him was undoubtedly a reflection of his character.

Like mounts said, if possible I'd like to pay my respects at his funeral.

Go and have a pint with Nat- god bless.

Funeral is provisionally arranged for Friday 30th September at 1pm, St Thomas of Canterbury church. Will post further once details are confirmed.

Very sad. RIP

R.I.P. Rembrandt.

R I P Fellow Wanderer

Always sad to lose an old school White.

RIP Rembrandt and condolences to anyone close to him.

RIP to a fellow wanderer

R I P fellow white

RIP, sincere condolences to his family and all who knew him

Very sad to hear this, thoughts go out to his family

Saw him with the London lot when I stayed with my London mate. A good contributor on here and a proper dyed in the wool White. Knew he was swimming against the tide but still sad to hear of his passing. RIP, Rembrandt.

RIP Rembrandt my thoughts are with his family.

RIP Rembrandt, never met him but obviously a great supporter and sound chap. Best wishes to all his family and friends.

Rip didn't know him but always sad to hear of the loss of a fellow trotter, God bless you!

RIP, thoughts to his family and friends.

Superb. People like him make you realise why we do what we do.

That really is a proper BWFC fans article thanks for finding it Miami it's a wonderful piece. Rembrandt is a big loss to BWFC fandom.

Glass raised to a fellow wanderer

What a shame, RIP

All that knowledge gone, would have loved to have met him and found out about the old days, 58 cup final In particular

Hopefully the club have been informed and could potentially get that Indipendant piece I an upcoming programme. Got me thinking about what I was up to around that cup run in the early 90's

Sad news, rest in peace fellow Wanderer

I think there have been many occasions where we have all put our football club before our family.

It's one and the same.

RIP
