I realised yesterday at the Bristol Rovers game just how big a deal he is. I’d sorted tickets out for @Felixflybad and his lad. We got to the WSL queue and Th’Ogden was signing autographs and videoing folk giving predictions, etc.

Felixflybad’s lad was beside himself with excitement that he’d seen him and even more so that I introduced him and he managed to have a quick chat.

At half time there were crowds of youth looking to have selfies with Th’Ogden and Th’Ogdad.

But best of all, almost the entire Bristol Rovers support chanting that “Th’Ogden is a wanker!” Just the fact that enough of them recognised him and where he was sitting makes him a fairly big deal.

When Derby were going through their shit a couple of years ago, they had a march from the city centre to the ground

He was there

My friend took her kids and they recognised hi, got selfies etc

Seems it's not just amongst our fans he's a 'celeb'

He only moved to London when he was 11. No idea if he's from Bolton or not but he supports Bolton so he'll do for me.

i'd always thought he was born down south or even in darkest siberia, so thats interesting

actually thought his only interest came from his dad

its clear his dad has family up lancaster way but maybe they retired there

I saw one of his videos recently where he’d said they used to attend all the home games when they lived up here and then moved down London when he was 11 and talked about the difficulties of starting a new school in London with a northern accent

A quick check reveals Harrogate as his place of birth.

Theo's dad (Stephen) still owns a house in Lancaster.
Often travels down with Lancaster Whites (as they did on Saturday)

They're both decent people, both support Bolton, both easy to talk to.

Theo hit it lucky starting his vlogs at just the right time and has been very successful. Fair play to him. Reality is that the family has more than enough money without the vlogging stuff, but Theo loves doing it and the access to matches that comes with it.

Neither are you

(I’m guessing due to username but no bugger from Bolton would pretend to be from Leigh)

Was merely stating facts in response to the original statement and not pretending otherwise 😊

As it is, the only gripe I may have is that the image portrays die hard Bolton fan etc but then misses our games to tag on to any set of fans that’ll have him. Could argue it’s only like any of us missing games through work, I suppose. Other than that, not my kind of thing, but crack on.
