The last ever official release by The Beatles is being played on BBC Radio 2 at 2 o'clock. Got a very bitter sweet feeling about it as a Beatles fanatic.

Will it be yet another scouse Nursery Rhyme with  background music , like 83% of their back catalogue

I've just heard it

There's too much going on in the production for my liking

But it's still really quite a decent tune

It's not even a Beatles song

Lennon wrote it in 1978

8 years after they split up

And because he was dead and unable to object the rest muscled in and claimed it as theirs

It's like McCartney getting shot instead and the others trying to claim the as yet unreleased Frog Chorus as a Beatles song

Bollocks

Back in the 21st century, Mannequin Pussy's new album is out in spring. Stupidly missed that they were playing at the Windmill. Anyway - this is the single before the album and check out Patience and Romantic - both great albums if you haven't heard them already.

I have listened to it .

Sounds very influenced by early Pink Floyd.

Mr Mason will be impressed

Can't stop laughing. Looks like something you get at at a photobooth in Blackpool.

I’ve only ever done photo booths in Amsterdam and they’re nowt like that

It's fucking quality.

It's a beautiful song and the fact they could get the robots that will no doubt conquer us to separate that voice from the piano is amazing.

Can't wait til they're all dead and Chat Gpt releases 'that's what I call beatles' in 2032 remixing scatman John, shaggy and lil nas x tunes in the style of the beatles.

Yeah - bit far for me. That and I don't like the Vaccines.

Troxy in London.

I don’t like the vaccines either so not bothering with Brizzle date.

Alternatively, will probably be walking out mid Amazons set in Exeter to catch last train after watching swim school blow them away

I know Divorce have been mentioned a bit but with their first album coming soon and not having had their first single/EP and latest single off repeat, more people should give this band a listen, so good so far.

Playing Bearded Theory next year so I'll be having a listen. Wasn't initially mad on the first announcement but the more I look at it the better it seems to get and not even started listening to the acts I've never heard of yet
