ErnestTurnip Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 Just had a flashback to last night and remembered summat I watched on BBC that had Wim Hof and some celebrities in it. Five minutes content stretched to an hour, complete shit and something to be avoided completely. Quote

Looked tense before he jumped in, though I had seen that expression on his face before, when he was up against SKD. Edited April 13, 2022 by RoadRunnerFan Quote
gonzo Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 Gave up on Succession after it was mildly entertaining but not enough stimulus for the one night of the week I watch telly. Is it worth going back to? Last I saw was the stag do in that big club they copied off Berghain. Quote

They tried to persecute and hound him like they did Gazza. Luckily he had the right manager and group of people around him. Such a shame Gazza didn't. Quote

The sun and mirror should be ashamed of themselves they were a massive contributor to his mental heath problems. I remember Fergie saying if he managed him he would have helped him. At the time I thought what a shitty hindsight thing to say. The more I think about it he was probably right. Quote
gonzo Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 In today's world he'd have been diagnosed early on and treated for bi polar or ADHD or whatever it is hes got. Quote

I don't think anyone could've ever tamed Gascoigne. Fergie would've tried, failed and he'd have been out of the door within 2 years. Quote
Youri McAnespie Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 (edited) I dunno who they thought would be outraged by that ^ me and all my mates in our late teens and early twenties thought it was hilarious, I thought and said "Teddy Sheringham looks like he's E'd up at a happy hardcore event"... Venables played him (Gazza) some Kenny G sax music to prepare him for the actual tournament. Chilled him out. Edited April 14, 2022 by Youri McAnespie Quote

In reality though, I reckon given the way he is, had Twitter been around when Gazza was at his best/worst then he'd be more fucked than he is now, as Twitter is 24 hour relentless, and is far, far worse than any newspaper could ever be. Gazza has clearly always been very close to the edge mentally, I reckon Twitter and Social Media in general, as it is these days, could have tipped him over the edge Quote

Site Supporter Spider Posted April 16, 2022 Site Supporter Posted April 16, 2022 I’ve just watched the first 40 minutes of a movie called Dune. Gets loads of 5 star reviews and looks decent. Well after 40 minutes I can tell you it’s utter shit. I’ve not a clue what’s going on and it feels like I’ve started it halfway through. What the fuck Quote

Not in Crawley Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 Dune is great, decent book and I love the new version. It's better than the older one because you don't have to put up with Sting in winged Underpants. Quote

(As well as the big bro in the goonies) A bat shit crazy cleaner dude from a music bar in town was telling me all about it the other morning. All about force fields etc. He was eating chicken curry at 7am wearing a pair of flip flops and a blazer. Quote
