Is a sci fi jobby with the guy who plays thanos? (As well as the big bro in the goonies)

A bat shit crazy cleaner dude from a music bar in town was telling me all about it the other morning. All about force fields etc.

He was eating chicken curry at 7am wearing a pair of flip flops and a blazer.

AHM would kill to be that trendy.....

I’ve just watched the first 40 minutes of a movie called Dune. Gets loads of 5 star reviews and looks decent.

Well after 40 minutes I can tell you it’s utter shit. I’ve not a clue what’s going on and it feels like I’ve started it halfway through.

What the fuck

i made it till about 25 Minutes

@kent_white Had an old Knicks programme from when I went to Madison Squre Garden

Had an interview with Larry David in it . He was saying how he loves taking actors and making them the complete opposite of what they are in real life. Susie for example is the sweetest loveliest person in the world, in real life would never swear or raise her voice. So loves writing for her

My favourite susie moment

I’m still slightly fuming at the 40 minutes i lost yesterday watching Dune.

2001: space odyssey was openly aimed at stoners and acid heads.

Star Wars and Hobbit films are aimed at people who say sorry after sex.

This, on the other hand, is just for cunts.

Stars Wars nicked loads from Dune.

To be fair Dune is unfilmable unless you change the content considerably. Even David Lynch had a crack at it in the 80s and ending up disowning it

Thats why this one is better than Lynch's version, as Villeneuve hasn'r teried to cram too much in. Jodorowsky's Dune documentary is worth watching to show how bonkers it can be.

The first book reads like an encylopedia at times rather than a sci-fi/fantasy novel.

If they could have thrown some decent tits in the first half an hour it might have kept me vaguely interested. But nope, just loads of sand.

Fair enough, it is about a planet full of sand though.

All them 5 star reviews must have been done by lads you simply wouldn’t want to be behind in a queue on a hot day then.

I had the same problem with Interstellar

I loved the Martian, the book and the film.

Everyone said interstellar is better than the Martian, miles better.

I watched it and thought fuckin hell have I seen the same film.

Then everyone says it looks amazing. Incredibly overrated and not a patch on The Martian

Its slightly more than that, obviously and as the granddaddy of modern science fiction stories it's certainly worth having a look at.

Are there ANY tits in it at all?
