Brandon Thomas-Asante ex Salford who looked decent for a season, went to Coventry via West Brom and wil play in the premier league next season

Played at Ebbsfleet prior to Salford.

It does happen.

Ebbsfleet were in the National League to be fair, a decent standard, but he only played 3 games for them.

What I didn't realise was he was playing in L1 for MK Dons 10 years ago, when I saw him on that Salford documentary I always assumed they'd got him from non league, he played for Sutton and Oxford City before Ebbsfleet, seems odd it took so long for him to get established in the EFL.

One player from the Evatt days has had a new contract......Sheehan and rightly so

The others that are left may or may not get a new contract when their present one runs out....Forino i would be looking to extend it now

Evatt was great the first three seasons he was with us....Trafford in goal and Bradley season he should of got us up but was more interested in improving his % win games in the EFL cup. The following season football giants Carlisle and Wigan came to our place and played a high press and i knew he  had been worked out. That was when he should have changed but no same thing week in week out even down to the same substitutions at the same point in the game.

At that point i had no disliking for Evatt but how did he re-act he threw his coaching staff under a bus....Their fault then the players. Then the stories on here started of players not training etc, etc. Yet he still would not own it after the oxford game blaming the players mentality. Oxford got lucky that day with the Maghoma injury but like Carlisle and Wigan six months previously they knew a high press would do us........And it did. That summer the board wrongly give Evatt £3m plus to in fact make us worse. Schon, Mcatee and Randall came in and none have set the world on fire

Schon we got a get out of jail Randall we will take a big hit this summer and Mcatee is a tryer and Sunday he paid a little of his fee back with that header.

One piece of SS being a astute coach has yet to be picked up on this forum and that was getting a fee for Cogley and not replacing him in the January window. He knew Desmond would do a equally good job at right back as Cogley but it would only be until the Summer.....SS i have no doubt is thinking a little in front and that is what makes a person stand out in life they think ahead.

Ok, we are now getting somewhere in that you are now admitting your hatred for Evatt arose at the same time he reached his glass ceiling as I described in my last post.

Where we differ is that you reflect that hatred on to his players as well and can't accept that it wasn't the players to blame for Evatt's failure to change his one dimensional game plan that other teams managers had now cracked.

Those players (as in the case with the united players under Amorim now under Carrick) were always good players but didn't flourish under one coaches system but thrived under another.

Toal, Sheehan, Forino, Johnston, Tutu and McAtee to a slightly lesser extent were all integral to our promotion success - they were half the team for the second half of the season ffs, so I suggest your constant hatred to 'get rid of ALL the Evatt players' mantra since Schumacher was appointed has been misplaced at best and totally irrational at worst.

If Harkin/Schumacher believe some or all of the five remaining first team Evatt signings (including Randall) can do a job for them in the Championship they will remain with us, if they don't they will be moved out - nothing to do who signed them back then and all to do with 'can they do a job for me' now.

In respect of the general discussions on Richard Taylor, if he has done what others on here have reported (drink drive, domestic abuse) then the club is no doubt helping him behind the scenes to sort his life out.  I would not expect to see him play football for us again until he's sorted out his demons.

I suspect we won't see him play for the club again and that he will make a fresh start for himself someplace else away from here.

Not sure where you get Domestic abuse from i have read someone on here say he got done for drink driving and split from his Mrs

And as for Evatt i did not agree on his football ethic the last two years he was with us but again you make your own agenda up.....I never hated or shouted shite at him even towards the end

You need to stop second guessing people

I'm repeating back to you what you've constantly said on here in respect of Evatt's signings - I don't need to second guess you?

When I've talked about your 'hatred' of Evatt and his signings I'm not talking about your personal hatred - shout shite at him or his signings, I'm talking about the word in a general sense - I hate that Evatt doesn't change the way his team plays, I hate Schumacher still selecting Evatt signings.

I'm not suggesting that you hate anyone enough to kill them or anything?

This is what Traf posted earlier on this thread...

A catalogue of woe/misfortune/fuck-ups from what I've heard.

Wasn't fully fit when he arrived and whilst out of the team had a big bust up with his other half, got done for drink driving and got nicked on an assault charge (3 separate incidents at different times).

Eventually got fit and produced a shambolic performance when finally picked on a night where the entire team was shite.

Who knows what he might or might not be, his record in Scotland suggests there a player there, his time here doesn't so far.

Maybe I've misunderstood it but I read that as Taylor assaulting his partner.

Anyway what I said still stands, namely the club will be helping him behind the scenes and to my way of thinking he is more likely to end up making a fresh start some place else.

luckily it’s nothing to do with me and there is a team there in place

It's perhaps best not to speculate

I know nothing of Taylor to comment and you wont find the word hate in any conversation i have about Evatt and the players out of this conversation.

It's impossible to overhaul the entire squad in one season. We signed 20 and people are still saying he didn't do enough.

Forrester was replaced with Temple. Full-backs, we were a bit short (though we could have put a DM there in an emergency) but it worked out in the end and now we have more flexibility.

He’s also played for Warrington Rylands. He is not what we need for championship football.

Higher level than Stocksbridge Park Steels, then. Anyone who played for them would never be good enough to play in the second tier, eh?

I know nothing about Taylor either - my comment about him was directed at the general discussion on this thread which I specifically stated in my post.

I wasn't directing my comments to you.

I also have never claimed you have used the word hate in your comments about Evatt or his signings - as I've already explained to you in my previous post.

Summet happened with Taylor in that Boddingtons gaff in Swinton that lead to all kinds of drama in his personal life.

Of maybe more interest on that list, Matt Targett, gone back to Newcastle, could do us a solid job at LB

I’m going with yes. The odd one gets through but the majority are not good enough. See also our b team success stories, the number of academy lads that get not even remotely close.

let’s try and aim high. I’d like to stay up

What non-league club did he come from ?

He was with us aged 16.

Lots of Josh's detractors miss/ignore the work he does off the ball.
He reads the game so well and I've lost track of how many times he's been the one covering behind our full backs who haven't got back into position.

I'd suggest we've greater areas of concern than Sheehan's role.

That's literally his job in that position. And he does it adequately if not spectacularly in League 1. There's a huge question mark for me about whether he can do it adequately if not spectacularly in the Championship.

We'll find out one way or another come the new season. Big year coming up for him.
