Transfer Gossip

He said the other day he had a long term contract here, so he's been royally fucked over. Four months in and out of a struggling team and back to where he started.

I mean, I'm sure Ken will have his statement up in the morning, but it's beyond hard to believe that it's still everyone's fault but his. He agreed to the deal. What changed?

I’m sure his vegan menu would go down a treat with our fan base.

Another day, another outrage. Personally I’m waiting to see what comes out in the wash. If Parky hasn’t got any interest in playing Doidge then we might as well try and duck out of it while we can.

Really?

Well we knew this was coming deep down after the Matthews episode at the weekend

deals fall through all the time in football but for us to be continuously the ones who don’t abide by our side of the deals is becoming 2nd nature

the sad thing with all this is the reputation it gives the club. When Ken has long fucked off we’ll still be feeling the affects of the relationships with other clubs he’s decimated

Didn't Leicester renege on payments to st John's ambulance then become eveybodys favourite underdog

Worry about today, mate

6 months after Kens gone, all will be forgotten by all but us

Their chairman said he was relaxed about everything as late as Thursday

What changed

Doidge has had a chance to play at a higher level so might get a move elsewhere anyway, if not it seems FGR are happy enough to have him back so although I’m sure he’ll be disappointed not to move permanently up the leagues, it’s not as if he’s been cast adrift.

Yes maybe it’s poor form to jump out of the deal if FGR were relying on the money from the transfer, but somehow I doubt it given they’ve got more money than we have.

I can't agree sorry. Gutted for the lad after moving up here. Next I can't see how anyone will give/sell us a player again with Ken here. I also worry this is just a small piece of what's to come out.

Probably the dialogue that took place where he decided that KA thinks he's immune from the consequences of not sticking the deal

It might be a struggle to get another loan-then-permanent kind of deal from a club that might be relying on the future income but I don’t think this has necessarily panned out any differently than it would at any other club in a similar position.

That’s the problem though isn’t it...

Today. Worse than yesterday but not as bad as tomorrow

new owners (fingers crossed) will still be carrying that stigma of “are Bolton gonna actually fucking pay us?” Until they prove over time they can

chuck in Players not having a clue if they’ll get there money at all let alone when and it leads to clubs, agents & players giving us the widest of births

Spot on tomski. Or how many players would actually be stupid enough to move to us?

Fuck me this is getting really bad now

You wouldn't would you. Football talks and I can't thing of anyone who would be positive about it who hasn't got the surname Anderson

If Doige is contracted to us why can FGR recall him? I understand that it appears that we haven't been paying him and presumably we haven't paid FGR what is owed but surely he can't just go back without some sort of legal procedure being followed?

You can add me to that list. It’s one thing delaying payments and such to keep us afloat, but to enter into an agreement to buy a player pretty much knowing that you won’t be able to fund it is a shithouse move.

Feel for Doidge because he’d got his break into the higher leagues and for me was looking like he was just starting to get used to it and the goals were on their way.

For what it is worth, when he was signed Eddie Davies was still alive and apparently underwriting the club on the quiet.

I doubt there was the intention to shaft Doidge or Forrest Green from the off.

I would guess KA has told the FGR owner that he hasn't enough left in the crucial EFL Sky payment due in ten days or so to honour the deal and that's why he's moved from being 'relaxed' about things to taking Doidge back and his statement of such.

As Doidge and FGR will be football creditors and will remain unpaid, then I guess we will be under the embargo for the whole of the window which means O'Neil cannot be signed either.

Thankfully we still have the ST in the background with their high net worth individuals on stand by to save the club.
