Faals london non league

Like plenty others we have signed

Im thinking hes from the same list

I take the point, but he was playing in the southern equivalent of the Northern Premier League. I don't think the others were playing quite so low down the pyramid.

I want him to succeed, but I can't help feel he's up against it.

How many did we release from last season must be at least back to parity now in terms of squad numbers?

IE already hinted some of the youngsters to go out on loan so more to come probably.

Think we are seeing FV plan since January transfer window bit clearer now. Obvious Onions wasn't calling shots re recruitment as many suspected. Chicksen decision etc taken with longer term plan in mind that didnt include many of last seasons squad or Onions all along.

I've no qualms about the recruitment so far.
Evatt will know who the best in the National league were and will surely have had an eye on L1/L2 players for this season with Barrow looking like promotion material for most of last season.

As you’ve said previously, better players should comfortably be able to take 1 divisional step up

the best teams don’t necessarily always have the best individuals. The sum is is sometimes greater than its individual parts. So, if we’re identifying and picking up some of the brighter talent across the NL and moulding that in to a solid unit knowing IE is confident they can play at this level then I’ve no concerns at all.

add in to the mix some of the best players in this league from last year and it looks like a really good mix.

Sheff United & Bournemouth are prime examples of what can be done with unknown players & good coaching. Many gone from Leagues 1 & 2 in to the prem

if it works here it’ll do for me

He's identified targets, got them in early and therefore has no excuses if he can't mould them into the team he wants.

I'm fairly sure, though, that we won't be getting done for height, fitness or pace and we certainly won't get bullied like we have in recent seasons with a team of dwarves.
