Not so keen on BBC RM presenters' smarmy tone discussing this right now.

was told yesterday that sarce had gone/going to Stockport it came about after the game on Tuesday when players were watching the video of the game, Sarce was sat looking out of the window and words were said, don't know exactly what was said but along the lines well if you want to go, go, Sarce then rang agent and was in touch with Stockport and it was done.

the person who told me this was there and has never said anything about Sarce being disruptive or anything in fact he said IE would never drop Sarce as he was his favourite, so seems to me it's all the frustration and anger from two bad losses when emotions are running high, but unfortunately it's gone too far

Hmm if it'd true its 2 proud men not willing to back down.

The 3 podcast presenters have since joined the discussion. Podcast turf war here!

Beginning with the presenter asking Dearden if Bolton fans still have that weird opinion that United are their rivals when "we" don't care about them.

Sarc is a great league 2 player, not convinced he can hack the top of league 1.

question - why did Plymouth get rid when they got promoted and also he has always got transferred to a team in a lower division.

done us well - now let’s move on.

£8k a week apparently, god help county if they don’t get out paying wages like that.

I do agree with this and it's a line that a lot are going with on twitter, but it's almost a separate argument for me. People saying its a statement of intent for us wanting promotion etc, yeah it would be in May or during January window but not right now.

Whether people rate him or not, your club captain whos featured in every game so far doesn't get binned off for nowt from an already stretched squad without something a lot more grave going on in the background.

Correct this isn’t just someone upset at being benched Tuesday

Got to agree with what Jack Dearden & co said on BBC Radio Manchester. Further explanation is needed here. I personally don't give a fuck, because what's done is done - but it's got the rabble roused, and speculation is always more damaging than the truth.

Whatever the fall out it must have been a humdinger.

I get all the comments about his limitations, but this has been a good player for us & an influential one in the club. From Captain to sub to gone in 6 days outside the transfer window, to a non'league club, is quite something.

I'm sorry it's come to this ... & rather amazed. I wish him well & thank him. But now we move on.

Don't get why some people are talking like he's been shit for us. He was massively influential last season. It's obviously a situation that couldn't be resolved & IE must be backed in this situation, just hope we don't pick up any more injuries in midfield until the January window.

Well so far we’ve had; wife swapping, blackmail, betting irregularities, pending court cases and fighting after Wigan. Along with Doyle and the latest one I’ve just heard, Comley.

Don't think we could play him and Sheehan in the same team anyway.

Time for Sheehan to prove he's the better player now.

Playing two no.10s was never going to go and I’ve been more impressed with Sheehan than Sarc

Sheehan will flourish in that role when he’s not having to go so deep to get the ball

He’ll boss it tomorrow YHIHF

Thing is that midfield 3 (alongside Lee and MJ) didn’t look great Tuesday. Which begs the question is Sheehan a 10? We asked the same question of Lee when he replaced Sarce last year. Pre-season the only other one who looked a decent 10 was Darcy.

Granted they’ve not had a lot of time working on the training field with Sheehan further up so I’m willing to give it time

I reckon he would be even better if we had a striker who could hold it up for him to play off.

He is, undoubtedly.

Sarce was good for us, but he was limited on the ball and for me things often broke down with him more than progressed. His first touch was atrocious and his passing wasn’t great - he could pop up with an important goal though and you couldn’t doubt his work rate.

Personally I think he’d fit far better in a team that plays more direct and he could run off a big front man / arrive late in the box (a budget Nolan as has often been mentioned). I’ve never thought he fits the 10 role in an Evatt team, whereas Sheehan is perfect for it (although I don’t think we’ll see the best of him until we have a fast striker who plays on the shoulder).

All very strange, agree with most that I wouldn’t be too fussed if it happened in Jan and we had a replacement, timing isn’t ideal and we’re short in midfield but if Sheehan stays fit and plays every game to Jan in the 10 role then I don’t think we’re any worse off from a starting 11 point of view.

I’d love to know what’s actually happened though - got to be punches thrown for this sort of fall out.

He’s got a great delivery and pass on him, him further forward running the channels will help him us

Sheehan can't come close to doing what sarcevic does

There'll need to be some tweaks to the plan

But how often has Sarc done it this season?
He’s gone missing massively and there’s a huge gap in that midfield when he does
