Those are @Black Sheep level responses

If evatt wants a mid/attacker to top the running stats, he ain't getting that from Sheehan

Hence, in capital fucking letters

Young George is a runner. Always impressed me when I've seen him

Playing two no.10s was never going to go and I’ve been more impressed with Sheehan than Sarc

Sheehan will flourish in that role when he’s not having to go so deep to get the ball

He’ll boss it tomorrow YHIHF

Sheehan can't come close to doing what sarcevic does

There'll need to be some tweaks to the plan

I agree. I see sheehan as a play maker and set piece man. Playing balls through etc.

Interesting debate. But as I alluded to earlier, I just haven’t seen Sheehan as a number 10. @Rudy I’m surprised  you have.

And again I’m not writing this option off it needs tweaks on the training field, but we’ll miss Sarce.

Gives me even more hope we will see a 5-3-2

Dapo in the hole, remember when Chungy played through the middle under Lennon, he was class, think Dapo deserves a shot there, he drifts there looking for space anyway.

MJ and Lee as a midfield two with 3 centrebacks to hopefully solve our leaky defence.

Sarce has been alright this season but definitely not top level league one and we need to keep improving. At 29 years old he’s not going to improve much.

Sheehan had a bright start but has fallen off in recent weeks.

Think Sarce going is bad for us in the short term but long term allows us to upgrade in midfield, which is what we need. At the minute this squad is capable of playoffs max.

I’ll tweak you if you speak to me like that again 😂

I think with Sheehan being behind Sarc he limited in his running, I think he’s excepted to get the ball, to turn and look for Sarc or outwide and I think he’s a bit wasted doing that.
We both know Sarc ran his bollocks off that can’t be doubted and you need to because really he’s a second striker in that role, I think we’ll see Sheehan do that in that role.

I have every faith that he’ll pick up that role starting tomorrow

See above.

When I’ve watched him, he plays those neat little clever cute balls , when he got the ball the line was usually quite high, and there was space but it seemed he was instructed to get it to Sarc then Sarc get it wide.
He’s technically very good so I don’t think he’s been utilised as well as he could be

Sheehan didn't do much there Tuesday. Granted it was against the top team, but he'll have to be more effective Saturday if given that role.

I quite like the idea of Dapo given a go supporting Doyle.

Thomason providing more cover for a weaker Gordon. Its likely that MJ is going to be serving a suspension soon enough, so some game time in Thomason wouldn't go amiss.

He got closed down so quickly. Not every team will do that.
Dapo when he comes in the middle looks great but I don’t know if that’s because he puts the right back on his inside foot and the CB doesn’t know whether to stay or go.

We’ll see tomorrow

Hope not, he's League 2 standard at best.

We've had a few players in last 12 months that are league 2 "at best", Tutte isn't one of them.  There aren't many league 2 midfields that he wouldn't get into in my opinion and I'd have no problem if he was a stand in for us (when fit).

I do agree with this and it's a line that a lot are going with on twitter, but it's almost a separate argument for me. People saying its a statement of intent for us wanting promotion etc, yeah it would be in May or during January window but not right now.

Whether people rate him or not, your club captain whos featured in every game so far doesn't get binned off for nowt from an already stretched squad without something a lot more grave going on in the background.

Spot on.  I don't think anyone has a problem with him being replaced in the medium term, if we want to improve.  But he's been an automatic pick when fit from day one till last Tuesday.  Captain and leader on and off the pitch.  And gone just like that.  If IE was managing in the championship he couldn't get rid of a player before January, firstly they wouldn't be dropping to non league and secondly you would want a fee for your goalscoring captain still under contract.  Managers at that level don't have the option to get rid, rightly or wrongly they have to manage it internally and get on with it.  A strange and fairly unique situation that doesn't reflect well on either party.

I liked Sarce, and he was good for a goal and driving forward from midfield.

Nonetheless I was very disappointed for Kieran Lee missing out at the start of the season, and have always thought that beyond goal threats, MJ, Lee & Sheehan were our best three.

Going off the back of last season, Thomason is a real prospect and I wouldn’t mind seeing him given more of an opportunity now as well.

Would have Politic back in January without a doubt. Some would argue he’s got better with injury and became overrated, but I have every faith this lad can go far, and has goals in him.
