I can't comment on this guy, never knowingly seen him play. But £8k pw is £416,000pa BASIC. It's no wonder clubs are struggling if they have, say, 20 on that sort of sum at 2nd division level. I guess chasing the dream costs. It is crazy money but some ex players on talk shite are saying some players deserve £500,000 per week - Mo Salah for one

Whitesince63
Crikey, if he’s on 8k a week, can’t see Millwall footing enough of that to let him come here.

He played with two up front at Barrow and started with two up front here. I stand corrected, I thought IE wouldn't budge from 1 up front evidenced from games in 2021, but he changed it today. And what a difference, changed the whole outlook of the game, long may it continue. Well played Baka, pleased for him to be in his natural position and if the Millwall lad is an alternative, given Baka's injury record, bring it on. But fair play to IE for trying something different and it worked. We looked more resolute and balanced
Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted January 15, 2022 Site Supporter Share Posted January 15, 2022 I think two left footed defensive players helps in terms of balance. Allows John to push on with a bit more protection. Similar with Fossey and Jones.

I know Evatt said he'd heard nowt, which suggests they're considering it, maybe over the weekend. Until that's happened and things are moving, he's their player and it's no surprise they've played him.

Evatt probably quite glad for him to play, especially as he wasn't/isn't likely to play immediately for us as he comes back.

Only weeks? 😃 From day one, playing Doyle up front on his own seemed like a bad joke, and whatever anyone thought of Doyle in league one, he wasn't helped by the formation. I'm struggling to go along with "give credit to IE for changing to 2 up front", its a bit like changing Crellin or Dixon, yes well done but why did it happen in the first place and why so long to change it?
