That’s possible, but Markham knows him and I think he’s a Cumbrian lad, I’d take that chance rather than chuck more money at it.

Surely we need to get our team as strong as possible in the short term, we are currently struggling to either score a goal or keep a clean sheet away from home (relegation form) and if a quick fix is available at a reasonable price its false economy to wait, we need results soon.

Also any player signed now is embedded in the team before next season starts.

We ain’t going down, we ain’t going up, if he’s available now on the right terms then sign him, if not wait.

@Mounts Kipper we dont know the financials

If we can get him for money we are happy with and can afford it, get him in now

Scally said they’d not received acceptable bid. Shouldn’t be held to ransom, especially as he’s out of contract in summer.

That was after the first bid wasn't it?

Evatt said earlier that we'd heard nothing since the new offer, either way.

If this one is rejected, then I doubt we'd up it.

Gillingham have 3 games between now and deadline day. They know we'll want him on the 31st just as much as we want him now, if not more so.

The gamble they are taking is that we look elsewhere but given that Evatt has publicly declared interest in him, it's doubtful. The only other thing is risking him getting an injury and then losing him for free in Summer.

If I was their owner I'd want to keep him around to give them a chance of closing the gap on safety.

Also depends upon how fucked they are financially. Does the owner need the money and can he afford to risk getting nothing?

Do love how the yanks take European sounding names and try to apply them to their own teams

Real Salt Lake is still the best one though

El Paso. Bloody Hell, I hope he's OK with heat. A bit different to Bradshaw.

... and a long way from Amirillo. Even if you know the way.
