Not got the energy for me now. Let’s hope he has a renaissance over the summer, won’t happen methinks.

you're chatting shit, seriously

lee is our best midfielder

hes even stopped missing impossible to miss sitters

doesnt mean that i see an easy way into the 3 for him, which I know is a contradiction

if we are playing 3 mids in a 352, its going to take some picking the 3 mids but at this stage, i dont think we have another MJW

i love morley and think hes next seasons POTS barring a 20 goal season for JDB or Charles

leaves room for one of about 6 so theres going to be plenty rotation

lee gets first go, for me

mentally and skill level means he takes some leaving out

leaves dapo as one of 4 strikers...fuck me 100 points, 100 goals   :)

Does Sadlier not fit anywhere into the midfield? He looks a decent shout for No10 to me and bigger, stronger than Sheehan. We’ve lost out so many times to stronger and more physical sides and Sheehan, for all his ability, just looks too lightweight at this level and above. I personally think he’ll struggle to get a start with the other choices we’ve got.

i looked through the champ released list, which isnt really Evatts normal MO but saw the name of Connor Ripley

thought, hmmm, maybe

think it was oldham when i saw him

late 20s, 6 foot 3

but checked his stats and they dont excite me but keepers are an odd breed

Simple facts are, our current squad, when fit, is more than caoable of doing pretty well in the 3rd division.

It's a competitive group at the level but we should feel capable of giving it a real go.

There will be more arrivals in the coming month. It's really quite exciting.

Another string to the bow / conundrum

he was brought in primarily as one of the front 3 but can play equally as well as a 10 but the did ok at RWB which means Isgrove is stuck nowhere 🤣

Sadlier / Dapo / Sheehan / Dempsey

3 are going to be pissed off each week

It’s all about opinions, I’d say he was when fit, he’s gonna need some serious nursing through games, he’s lot of competition from younger hungrier types.

I hope you are right and I’m wrong. Doubt it though. 😉

Played against us for PNE in the friendly last year. Recall he made a decent save or two but weighs about 10 stone wet through so wasn’t much of a presence.

He was MOM against Sunlun in a 6-0 win, which wasn’t that long since, really.

Still plenty to come imo.

NobEnd fans don’t rate him.

Wasn’t he in the nets when we drew 2-2 and he made a right fuck up with Ameobi’s goal.

I agree he’s a cracking player when the games played to suit him for about 1 hour, he’s injury prone coming up 34, lightweight see Plymouth, Fleetwood and Stockport away, he was non existent in a battle, he ain’t getting fitter and just had another operation, played sparingly mainly at home and if he stays fit we might manage him through next season, I have my doubts though.

I'm sure he could manage 60-70 mins before we then bring on fresher younger legs like Dempsey

proper strength in depth that

Think this includes every player except Thomason and Darcy (and assumes that Fossey and Trafford sign on again).

This would be my order of preference for next season's starting 11.

I haven't seen Iredale play yet but I put him over Johnston as he's a more of senior player and supposedly Cambridge's POTY so I think he could be an upgrade.

Dapo over Lee, simply because on his day, Dapo is our best player and while he's not a natural 10 I think he will grow into it, while Lee's age and injury record means he may not be a consistent starter.

Put Sadlier LWB behind John, simply because the website only let me put one substitute in for each position and had to fit Isgrove in at RWB. Sadlier could play CAM or RWB though but think he's second fiddle to both Fossey and Dapo/Lee.

He played and scored as a LWB to be fair, can’t remember which game but our “wingbacks” are more like wingers really.

Still wouldn’t be my second choice LWB. John first choice, Iredale cover and drop Johnston into LCB to cover Iredale seems the sensible thing to do.

what i think it does show, is that if we revert to 352, we dont have another santos or another jones

currently irreplaceable in a 3, for me

if iredale is as versatile as claimed, left side is prob ok without needing to use sadlier

if theres no outs, a keeper, fossey and maybe somebody who can do what santos can (im resigned to not getting that bloke)

maybe its 442 or 451 which stirs up the pot again

Think 3 at the back is nailed on

which gives us 5 to fit in. Johnstone and Aimson as cover and see what happens with Senior..

we’re really well balanced on paper.

jones can also cover RWB too.. so we’ve a potential 4 there pending Fossey signing

Resigned to not getting Fossey or Santos on a new deal?
