Just reading his comments on that now. Not a complete denial but certainly hugely downplaying it.

Wonder of we've put in a cheeky bid for Trafford?

Anyway, he confirms exits.

People really need to get over Trafford. Enjoy him while he is here but no chance he’s gonna be a long term fixture at the unibol

Completely agree

However, while hes a baby with 5 or 6 years to get to his best, hes miles off being a city keeper

If dixon had been responsible for shrewsbury, fuck me, what a meltdown

Fairly sure boltons own louie moulden was at city til a similar age and now hes on at least 9k a week playing non league!

I like trafford btw and hes as good as we are getting

Agree he’s as good as we are getting and hopefully it’s a few more years yet.

Didn’t they sell bazunu for 12m and he never played once for city

City will want to know if he can cut the ice in the championship next, think our only hope will be another loan if we got promoted

But which Championship side is going to put their faith in an unproven young kid?  Its one thing to have him in the squad but another to tell City he will play every week.  Comments that he's as good as we'll get are probably about right, but how many games/points has he saved for us that a competent league one keeper wouldn't have matched?

Plenty would. We don’t go up he won’t be here next season.

We'll see, happy to return to the conversation in August!

I'd be surprised if he gets a better club than us in next couple of years unless there's a "its who you know" situation eg a manager that is an ex-City employee.  I don't see what a championship side would take from his games for us, I don't recall coming away thinking Trafford has been outstanding, yes some half decent saves, and a few dodgy moments.

I’m not even sure he’d come back if we went up. He may well like it here but if Man City let him go they’ll want a fee of fair sorts and he will go to someone who matches his wages or betters them. I’ve no idea what he’s on but I’m pretty confident it will be more than anything we could pay cos if it was we’d of tried to sign him when his contract would of been up rather than have him sign a 4 year deal.

He suits our system though. He's comfortable with the ball at his feet and comes off his line like a 'sweeper keeper' (speaking with my Football Manager head on). There's not many around with that skill set - especially in League 1.....

Salary sport reckons Trafford on 8k a week, already makes him in more than our second highest oh 5k… no doubt someone would pay Trafford more than us should he leave city.

What’s more annoying from that list is the next 5 top earners are either are shit/don’t feature or injury prone

It is

His brother works at wanderers

Louie was either on 9 at city or went to wolves for 9

I think his only 1st team football since has been solihull and some jumpers fer goalposts in kent

A salary of just over £450,000 (pre-tax) despite never playing a single minute of league football.

It's astonishing what the sport has become.

That is incredible isn't it?

Similarly, Bazunu, without a single minute of PL football, fetches a fee of £13m.  Trafford's just a year or two behind him, so no way he'll be with us after June.

Being loaned out to sit on the bench of a Conference club doesn’t suggest he’ll be getting a league club any time soon, even if we didn’t go up this season.

Its a fair point, but then i kept reading how some kid playing jfg in wigan in front of 15 supporters was nearly ready

He was actually playing though rather than being sat on the bench (and in my honest opinion his development will have suffered from playing sporadic B team games rather than playing competitive football twice a week)
