As for dapo, imo you dont make it difficult for him to leave

Moneyball involves us buying players on the up and youre more likely to sign promising talent if you show youre not going to be twattish about selling them

Agree with this.

If we want to get players in, build them up and sell for a profit, then we can't acquire a reputation for being twattish when a bigger club comes calling.

Of course we'd like to keep good players, but in order to achieve the stated goal of getting out of the lower leagues then we will need to follow the plan and not deviate just because someone is popular.

The only issue would be if no one else was coming in, and we were going backwards, but we don't seem to be.

Will be very disappointed to see Dapo, but if it’s good for the team long term then so be it. Hope we’ve got someone lined up forward wise cause all of a sudden we are very light upfront now. One injury and we’ve no option from the bench and Bod hasn’t got the best record.

We have signed the lad from Southampton and rumoured to be in for another so we will be about the same in numbers.

I'm wondering if when Evatt said we were looking at bringing in "one, maybe two more" after Williams and Dan signed, if the figure included a replacement for Dapo? Or do we now need at least two, and three if Decberto also leaves?

FGR fans site comment:

"I hope everyone understands what a massive signing this is for us. He's going to be a fan favourite for sure. Hard working, fast, fox in the box with aerial threat and over 200 games League One experience. Exactly what we need and he could be the hero that keeps us up! "

I'm saying nowt.....

They're right. Massive signing for them.

I wonder if there’s one of these “friendly agreements” that he’s recovering from a slight knock on the 24th Jan so can’t play…

Been happening for decades. I'm not sure Paul Fletcher EVER played against us after joining Burnley.

Otherwise we'd not sell him for another couple of weeks.
