We are currently not a good club for this. The Academy is a waste of time, that I agree with. We don't seem to have produced one of our own even for the sub's bench since Evatt came in. Holding is the best player to come out of the Academy in the last 20 years. Good enough to play over 100 games for Arsenal. And we sold him for about four Victor Adeboyejo's. Bringing lads through consistently and selling them on for big money is a bit of a pipedream for a club like us. You're talking 1 or 2 players every five or six years which might be upper L1 and above quality. Less if you misjudge it and release one early or they get poached (a la Ramsdale and Bartley). If there is some transfer fee cash I can't see it being above £500K in total. The Pizza Cup winnings, gate receipts and general proceeds is one-off cash.
