Shoretire FFS?

He has 2 things in his favour - he's only 19 and he's technically good - but he's a long way from having the physicality and athleticism required to compete against men. It would take at least a year for him to develop into anywhere near where we'd need him to be so even if we got him at an affordable price I don't think he'd be of much use to us this season.

There was a player moved from Liverpool reserves to Sheffield Utd when they were last promoted to the Prem, for £25m. I think that madness has been surpassed by Chelsea’s purchase of Cole Palmer.

Might be on my own here but Cole Palmer is good business for both imo. Clearly talented and will improve chelsea. Man City get a nice bunce.

Rags pay £80m for Rasmus And no one bats an eye lid.

It's because they haven't already! signed several players in the same position on 20 year contracts

Brewster looked like he was going to develop into a beast of a striker when he was younger - just goes to show the risk in paying big bucks for young players based on their potential. I like Cole Palmer but who knows how whether he'll justify that huge fee or not?

Sounds like the perfect fit for us

Fair point but I think he’s one that will hold his own.

Liverpool always manage to get top dollar for their players.
£20m+ for Brewster, £16m for Ibe, Solanke was a bit steep at £19m, they got £4m for Jerome Sinclair who did nothing of note and since presumably retired. Loads more too no doubt. Does my head in.

Liverpool got £24m for Brewster on the back of him scoring 10 in 20 Championship games on loan at Swansea.

Hasn't found that same form at Sheff Utd and Liverpool declined the £40m buy-back option this summer.

Jerome Sinclair now runs a fried chicken shop.

Hoping Arsenal sell Holding today - pay out for us on anything above £2 million.

Palace £4m

Disappointing it's not more but that's a few bob for us.

watching flight trackers for Joao and Joao to Barca whilst seeing if Bolton get anyone, keep refreshing stuff lol, would be nice for something good, cos if we lose v Derby with no last day action, it'll be pretty negative until we play again.

Depends on if it was a sell on based on profit or not.

If it was then we're due to get precisely £0

Didnt he go for 2m£??

That would mean a % of £2m profit

I was under the assumption he went for the customary £4m that we get.

That was a daft assumption. Since 2010 the standard 4m Is now known as the standard £500k market we dance in
