He was good in the cup last weekend albeit against non league opposition. 

He's also a decent carp fisherman.

If we do get someone they need to be a shoo-in for a Championship club. No point getting someone unable to step up if/when we go up.

I know what you're saying, but the point would be to get us a much sought after promotion.

Last time we went up from L1, Morais was the Jan signing that made all the difference (I'd love to have him on our wing now).  Was he championship standard?  Not really.

If IE bought May, Rhodes, Reid or Cole it would arguably be enough to get us up.  They would probably need to be replaced in August, but I'd rather have that problem than stay in L1 waiting for a championship player that might not materialise.

I'm not arguing about getting the sequence sorted and if course Promotion is the first, but I'd still hope we went for one with ability to grow into the next level.

Would he improve our squad? Possibly.

In Al Hamadi? That's surprising.

He's young and could develop but he's a goal-hanging poacher - not at all in the style of Vic, Dion (and Dan) who are asked to run miles and chase everything down until they can hardly walk as part of Evatt's high pressing style. I'd be surprised if Evatt was interested in Al Hamadi.

Think there's been way too much talk about striker options needed and that miss last night won't help my case here, but I actually really think it's wing back we need to improve on drastically. 

JDC for all his pace and industriousness isn't a very good footballer and is actively poor defensively, and Williams had a brief spell of decent form early in the season but again for me is an average League 1 winger playing out of position.

I'd love Bradley back on loan and I actually think it's a possibility given his limited opportunities since his injury and LWB has been a real problem position for us since Evatt took over, we've not nailed down a proper first choice consistent option.

JDC seems to have become the latest scapegoat going off Twitter. He’s been poor the last couple of games, but was a contender for POTS not long ago. 

Wouldn’t mind resting him for a couple of games, giving Jones a run there and Forrester a chance, but he’s been plenty good enough for us on the whole.
