Agreed.  We've watched some bloody awful strikers over the years, and he was class.  I don't need to look at his goalscoring record, which is probably great here and elsewhere, to know he was/is a great striker and footballer (relatively).  If any Bolton fan watched him for us and didn't think he was one of our best, outside the Prem/top division days, they weren't watching properly - or it was the days Parky put him either on the bench or the wing (with Armstrong probably).

Yes, great finisher Maple and surely every bit as much good as a finisher for us as CJ was although I somehow don’t see him as an Evatt player! ☹️

As a last 20 minute player he’d be worth signing, guaranteed he’ll score and create more goals than Jerome.

I'll put this here not least because 2 days into the window, this thread has dried up.

Luke Matheson has ended his spell at Bohemians.  Started some games but not all, still had a few niggling injuries.

Guess he'll be back here for pre season training after a break, but even though I'd love him to succeed, think he's on his way somewhere in L2 - maybe on loan.

Definitely a talent and one for the future and if Boro feel he needs another season out in L1 why not. He could add the size and physicality we’ve been missing up top as well.
