He got into some good  positions on Tuesday but his final ball was poor. Might turn out to be decent as he’s given more playing time.

However, we surely can’t wait 6+ weeks for some kind of attacking threat down the left?

Williams was forecast to be out for 3 months, Iredale isn’t a LWB and Conway’s still learning.

We have a lot of games to get through in the first couple of months.

Cogley is an automatic pick and made League One team of the year, despite having a very poor final ball! Seriously, if the rest of his game looks up to it, I wouldn’t mind Conway slotting into the role of deputy LWB.

i agree with Radcliffe and others, Williams is a sick note and poor in the brief periods he is fit. I’d be looking to offload if we can, or deputy at best, if Conway is not up to it.

If we’re continuing with five at the back, as seems likely, a fit and more than capable LWB should be right at the top of the shopping list.

I remember reading before he was appointed that he reads a lot of self-help/positive mindset books and one of the big themes was projecting confidence i.e. a kind of tricking yourself into a mindset thing

I think that's evident in his public statements

Best team in the league, keeping receipts, etc.

As you point out, though, all it seems to have done so far is set us up for a fall

Can you explain the receipts thing? I see him getting mocked often for it but I must have been in a Sam Miguel induced coma whenever it happened because I've no idea what its about??

hopefully hes progressing well, but i think he played about half the games he couldve done at fylde last year

he couldve been crocked, ive really no idea

pretty sure year before he was at rochdale and it wasnt a roaring success

i doubt hes the solution to LWB 'good enough for division 2' but would be nice if he could do a couple of games

Only one way to truly find out.

McAteer couldn't get into Marine's first team, and Clough for example.

More recently GT- he was a non-league player at best! 🤣

We really need to push our own, loan players come in for a season, push out own players down the pecking order and it's not worked for us..

Agreed.

I reckon Matheson should be given a run out too.

B team is neither use or ornament. Returning injured players these days do nor return this route and apart from filling the bench in EFL cup games these players are not seen around the first team.

Get rid of the team and the staff and put the budget into the first team

I'm going to wager that they're on very little, and as we do progress, the level of players will increase.

We seem to have a squad of them probably only Thomason who seems to be fit week in week out when not suspended and we sign a lad from Wycombe who was constantly in and out while playing for them and is injured now

Cogley never seems to get injured either

think he had second most appearances last year just behind Collins (across his two clubs)
