Does this mean Morley can play against us or has something been put into the contract where he has to rest that week

Think it’s a general rule that a loan player can’t play against his own club.

Stockport recruiting very well, they'll be top 6

Plymouth signed Grimshaw from Blackpool, puts paid to any Baxter rumours

With Morley gone, it’ll only take an injury to Matete for us to be left with George and Sheehan again, and that failed last season.

Dempsey still here.

Lolos when he comes back.

Arfield.

Reckon we'll be fine, especially as Metete hasn't started yet!

Wonder if we'll be in for the Scottish lad?

I’m hoping we’re still in for him.

Lolos isn’t a CM

Dempsey is injured too much

Arfield has been used as a forward.

We’re weak in CM as it stands, that’s if we have aspirations to be promoted.

Lolos is described as an attacking midfielder- bit like bang average. Not seen him yet to get an idea of his qualities.

Dempsey I reckon will be fine. He had an interrupted season last time, but I'm sure we'll see him more.

Arfield has been used further forward (strangely) but we've now got an additional man up top, and I think he'll be used in his more normal position.

How long is Lolos out do we know?

They decided if he needs surgery or not yet?

Watched Killie in Europe yesterday and he came on for the last 20 mins against a strong Copenhagen team. They went behind to a very dubious pen and he tried in vain to get them back into it  - a classy but ambitious pass that was intercepted, tried beating their entire defence but got tackled by the 3rd guy - otherwise anonymous as Copenhagen dominated possession - and Killie got mugged by a last minute second goal. Admired his ambition but couldn't really impose himself on quality defenders, who were bottom half Prem quality. Thought that in our team in this league and the Championship he would create plenty and can see why he was third in last season's Scottish Prem assist list.

I think he might've meant the other one

Ah - Luke McCowan. Posting after a Friday night out doesn't help :)

Hibs have already had three bids north of £750k rejected so it's pretty clear Dundee want around a mil for him. Good player but at that price?

Maybe it's just me worrying about overspend after years of us shopping around in the bargain basement and the concerns about financial sustainability lurking around in some corner of my brain, but if we did manage to sign him of course I'd be pleased -  but the pressure to get promoted would ramp up even further.

And I think that barring too many injuries, we've already got a squad that could get us up when it finally gels providing Evatt gets the selection and tactics right. That's a big "if".

Quite possibly.

Reckon he could be very useful if we need to see a game out.

We will need to be ahead though!

Dion off to Pompey, rumours from down south.

I’ll wait until it’s confirmed before I believe rumours like that. Wasn’t it Baxter going to Plymouth last week?

might not be many in this camp, but would prefer Dion to Pompey than Victor to Turkey etc..

So far, despite him missing a few, he's the only one who I see as being a regular 20 goal a season man (when playing fully).

Collins has looked capable, but not sure that's quite his role.

Vic can score goals, but seems most effective getting on the end of crosses- which would require improvement in that area.

If he went, then again, a change in the way we play might be necessary.

Well there’s only a few days left for anything to happen now and Evatt indicated the most likely moves would be out so there must be at least conversations about some moving. If the Pompey rumours have legs then I can’t see Dion figuring tonight and possibly the same for Vic. It would be suicide to lose both together unless IE has something up his sleeve that’s being kept quiet?

I think the key is when playing fully.  When did that last happen, he seems to be permanently coming back from an injury or strangely off his game.  The 20 goal a season thing is a myth for us unless you're including cups and pens.  I'm a fan of the 2 main cups but they don't get us out of L1, and pens can be taken by someone else (just not Tomo or Wiliams!).

If we sell Charles we obviously need to replace his goals but we aren't talking about 20, he's never done that for us.

Dion hasn't got the intelligence to play at a higher level.

That snippet was 5 days ago. Not happening!
