We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

  • Like when we went up from league 2, we needed tried and tested players from that specific division/level to deal with the task in hand. Doyle and Sarcs etc. We need exactly the same in this divis

How unusual for a goalscorer

Especially one that’s 5’8 and in a team that hoofs it

Point being there's no guarantee beevers won't still be lumping it

If that's the case we are better with a lump up top

I assumed a former semi pro wouldn't need that explaining :)

im pretty sure Beevers can’t do much else so I’m sure he will

My point was that many goal scorers appear to be “out of the game” for long period

Our style of play dictates that ALF would be more often than not

I think where we differ is the link between the and effectiveness

As a former office equipment middle manager I’d thought you’d have gotten that

Beevers is quite capable of a five yard forward pass to a midfield player who can take the ball off him and get his head up.

Problem is we had Henry, who breaks things up well, Pratley and Vela who work hard, in front of him. He'll be reet with a decent ball player ahead of him.

Office equipment?

Middle manager...I can only dream of reaching your lofty levels

Does everyone have a pompous title in the slave trading game

Got a few years on you krusty

Different time, different era. That won't happen ever again for anybody

Just looked at an article on t'internet and there's still an impressive group of players who have made it from non league into league football, Jamie Vardy, Troy Deeney, Grant Holt, Gary Hooper etc, so it can still be done. Just wish that we could find one or two.

Someone doesn’t like it when the favour is returned

It could be Dean Marney ex Burnley

FWIW, PP signed him at Hull

Not overly enamoured with Graham perhaps naively I thought we’d be pissing in a better pond!

I’d be amazed if we get anyone better than Graham for the target man role.

Perhaps someone completely unproven. Who may turn out to be a good en or absolutely terrible.

Surely we’re looking at 2 strikers going in with say Graham Alf and Hall looks v v lite

If we can convince chungy to come back and he can get his mate Ki Sung Yueng to join us we'd be back on for the Kia takeover in no time.

Graham on back burner for now

Stephen Ireland

I'd be happy with Ireland.

Stephen Ireland

Doesn’t look like he’s played much football

Injuries or unfancied?

If he’s fit he should be plenty good enough for us I’d have thought!

Good footballer but he is a bit of a ding dong.

Has he played his whole career in the premiership?

Is he not another who likes the treatment room

Yes and yes
