    gonzo

We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

  • Like when we went up from league 2, we needed tried and tested players from that specific division/level to deal with the task in hand. Doyle and Sarcs etc. We need exactly the same in this divis

The deal for £12m was announced the day they bought him on sky sports. No loan deal mentioned at that time just a back to back transfer deal.

Sod em.

Hopefully they’ll stick him out on right wing.

He’s garbage out there. Useless get.

On a side note. Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s one of the highest ex players who has traded for the most money once leaving us (appreciate he was on loan)

Rodrigo another. Dzemali aswell.

And I wonder perhaps if there is a reason for that? Few sides play two up and he isn't one to lead the line.

The reason few play two up is again for good reason.

And that’s fine but you can’t band stats around intimating he’s no great shakes without referring to the fact he played out wide.

And mores the point, I might be a bit of a dinosaur for this thought but don’t put square pegs in round holes and expect fantastic results from it

Play wide players each side of a striker if that’s how you want to play rather than shoe horning a central striker in there. Or don’t play it. Simple really

Good luck pratley gets a thumbs up from me

Bit of class; good lad

Oh can’t fault pratley.

Speaks well and no snide comments.

Just amazing iles has turned a 7 year career summary and goodbye into an article which spends 50% of the time referring to the stick he got from the fans.

Trotter received miles more greef in half the time.

For balance.

Cheers pratley for fleetwood away, sheff weds away, millwall away.

Hope the applause you got from all sides of the home fans at the final match of the season was appreciated.

I like Pratley and would have offered him another 12 months. Good luck to the lad - just not against us

Footballing ability very limited. Probably under instruction to go back or sideways. Big heart. Great 800m runner. Made a couple of million off us. Nowhere near legend status.

Trotter didn't get a send off article to be fair

You could write an article and pretend he didn't get stick half the time and lick his arse and all that but we all know it'd be bollocks

7 years and a handful of stand out performances, good luck to him, seems like a good bloke but hardly one to look back on with great fondness

Liked Pratley. We were a better team with him in it. Wish him all the best

Our mate LA. tweeting that things will happen today "this morning and all day"

Turkish Messi has signed a 2 year deal

I know YouTube compilations can be misleading, but he’s scored some proper screamers for Walsall, though I’m more impressed with the variety of his goals and especially that he’s scored a few with either foot.

just watched that myself, composure in and around the box struck me. 2 goals at Doncaster in particular

not afraid to go beyond the striker too. all very positive

Some proper goals on that compilation. Interestingly, we signed some one a few years ago who also 'chipped' the keeper from the halfway line.

One Darren Pratley!

Good to see composure in the box but plenty of quality shots from outside it.

Absolutely chuffed with this signing.....an attacking midfielder who can take the ball off our defenders, pass, dribble & score a few goals.

Of course there's a bit of a gamble in taking a player who has not played at this level before but lets hope that our most stupid fans give him time to settle in & don't get on his back when we're not transformed into Barcelona overnight.

I hope Parky is doing a bit of studying this summer or has a few tricks up his sleeve.

It's a risk as to whether he can make the step up at 27. A lot comes down to attitude, the championship will be testing and he's at a big club now. Perhaps sometimes players do well as a big fish in a small pond but never make the step up.

As above the goals he's scored is encouraging. Lots of long range efforts but also plenty in the box, even a couple of headers. We need midfield goals, so hopefully he continues. Can't help but feel ma decent number of those wouldn't go in on better championship pitches against better keepers, but he looks prepared to have a go.

Also takes free kicks and we've really missed that when Morais isn't playing.

This little fella ripped us a new arsehole at their place last year, lets hope PP gives him the license to let him do what he does best. I'm more than happy with this signing

We need a big one now in next to him in the middle of the park, ideally someone like Loftus-cheek

Do we still have that loan available from Chelsea
