Now this lad is shite

Saw him play a few times for Hibs and even at Crewe once or twice and was convinced he was the worst player in the world, but he actually managed to carve out a respectable record with Brentford and Birmingham, scoring one for less than every three games for Brentford and a little over one in three for Birmingham. Still, I’m not sure he’s got much pace left and he’s awful in the air despite the size of him so he’s certainly not one to be pinning our hopes on.

We’ve had plenty of strikers over the last 2 years with pace that have contributed zero.

 

Not what we need as we don’t know how to create attacks that ‘use pace’.

 

Really can’t see Parkinson ripping up the book and creating some new approach.

 

He has a tried and tested approach not only with us but also with Bradford.

 

We need a big mon upfront. Ideally 2 of em so it doesn’t fall over when one gets injured or suspended.

I'm not sure your claims holds much water, in fact sounds like its come direct from the "Diddles book of football theory".

To be fair, he said we've had plenty of strikers with pace (which they all have) who have contributed nothing  -  whether they played or not is irrelevant, we still had them on the books, which I think is the point that Eavesy was making
