Now? I don't know. He definitely was very effective for us. A promoted side might take a risk on him, but what is realistic for him and what he wants are two different things.

He had a bit of a good spell when the rest of them did under Coyle.

 

Then we got relegated.

 

That’s why only palace wanted him and he spent all his time there on the bench.

 

Not a chance he’s prem quality or ever was imo.

 

Love the guy and he’d be great for us by the way. Championship is his level. I’d love it if he we signed him.

Lee was brilliant in the Prem and then broke his leg, he had nothing to do with our relegation, except for Coyle throwing him on v WBA

We’d be a marginally better team with lcy in the team, we’d be a much better team with lcy and Sammy in.

He was great under Megson too. He was a key player for us in the premiership. 

 

Then in the championship he was very good too.

 

Certainly in his prime he was more than good enough for the premiership. Not sure Palace suited him given they had loads of big fast, direct wingers and that isn't his game at all.

I was away that weekend following the game on the web. That sub I remember saying to my mate 'why the fuck would you do that?' .

Close call Assuming Lee has kept fit I would go with him, for me ameobi doesn’t score enough for his type of player and goes missing for many games

 

I don't think he goes missing, I just don't think he gets as many goals as folk would like

 

he's one of our busiest players most weeks though and carries it forward well, is willing to run at players and generally gets it up where we need it to be

 

1 in 5 last season, but they were all important goals, and he gets plenty of assists

If he was only involved in 2 goals I'd agree bit it's not fantasy football where only last touch counts

Still seen no fresh investment put in, and the transfer window finishes much earlier this time.
