We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

That has to be Crombie - is he scounting for Wiggin these days?

Yes... and no, not any more.

I like the fella. Seems he's caught the Wanderers bug

Think he's caught something for sure

Proof that you shouldn't believe everything you read on the internet.

Hope Akpan (Midfielder) & Charlie Wyke (Striker) are targets according to Nixon.

Wyke would be a good addition and fairly young

Sure he scored against us at valley parade

Not scouting for anyone just at the moment as far as I'm aware.

Aye, he got both. I’ve liked him on the few occasions I’ve seen him play - works hard, holds it up well and is a decent finisher.

That’s all in League One, though - he has to make the step up.

I've never seen Wyke play. Googled his height and he doesn't seem to be a target man - so suspect Parky is still after a couple of those. Not sure how much we'd need to get Bradford to part company. Suspect £500K.

Just checked through done deals in the Championship so far this Summer. Plenty of clubs with no deals done so far but two stand out. Preston continue their policy of shrewd lower division signings (4 incoming so far) and Nottingham Forest are going down the Wolves route with expensive Portuguese signings. Suspect there'll be a lot outgoing there at some point and maybe one or two good deals as they cut their losses.

He scored plenty at Carlisle and was ambitious enough to move on to Bradford and scored goals at a higher level.

There is a big element of a having a punt in signing him but that’s where we are.

Would be very pleased with wyke especially. I think he could do some damage in a pp system

A fee of 1m is being thrown about

Return of the Zach??

Why, after failing to impress on loan.

Cloughs time at bolton is done

I'd have him back on a free

I'd have him back. Just not while pp is in charge as I think them bridges are burnt

If we're looking at Akpan, i'd hope we're looking at Liam Boyce as well... they both played very well against us at Burton last season. Wyke is another good shout

As said, like Oztumer, they'd all be gambles, but they've all done well at "smaller " clubs or at a lower level, & are at an age when they still have the potential to get better.

& Clough......i'd definitely take him back for nothing & give the club time  to work on his fitness & confidence which both seemed shot when he came back......he's certainly got some ability.

Liam Boyce definately and I would put him ahead of Wyke

Wouldnt take Clough; dont think he was good enough this year but TBF he didnt get too much game time

I'd take Wyke. Akpan was laughably bad at Blackburn though

Why, after failing to impress on loan.

Can't really score many when sat on the bench.

Obviously some will say he would have played if he'd been in form; but others didn't really rip up trees, and pp usually sticks him wide anyway.

Doubt he'll be back anyroad, as we've not got money to chuck at players for the bench.

I just don't see Clough as a Championship player, he'll end up at a Charlton or Portsmouth

Clough’s easily a Championship player.

Akpan and Boyce were both good against us, but so was Tom Eaves once. Best we don’t use ourselves as a benchmark.
