We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

Clayton Donaldson ffs how exciting ????

An upgrade on Wilbs I suppose

Im not sure it is. If true we are scraping the barrel

12 month deal - is he back up to Parkies main target??

Saw him play a few times for Hibs and even at Crewe once or twice and was convinced he was the worst player in the world, but he actually managed to carve out a respectable record with Brentford and Birmingham, scoring one for less than every three games for Brentford and a little over one in three for Birmingham. Still, I’m not sure he’s got much pace left and he’s awful in the air despite the size of him so he’s certainly not one to be pinning our hopes on.

Happy to give Donaldson a chance now that he’s arrived and wish him the best of luck ????

My rough maths suggests he scores about 1 in 3 at this level. Awful?

Roughly about 15 goals a season, not too shabby.

A 34 year old on a free from a fellow Championship club is never going to be exciting.

Parky's quotes on the website suggest he's a back up striker. He's got a decent record at this level. Let's hope he's got another year left in his legs.

If back up no problems

Nixon suggests we want another first choice striker. I think he’s backup. And he’s better than Wilbraham by a long way.

How tall is Donaldson?

If he’s taller than le fondre then we have upgraded.

We still have the same manager with the same centre backs.

Ball will be going to centre forward at every opportunity.

he's wrong it's 1 in 4 in championship and is getting less year on year

Obviously now he is here he gets my full backing etc.

32 goals in 102 starts at Birmingham. 5 goals in 9 starts at Sheffield Utd.

Is that not 1 in 3?

Assuming soccerbase stats are correct.

That’s his championship record.

Even if you factor in his large number of sub appearances last season it’s still one every 3.5 games.

That’s not awful by any stretch.

Thou shall never mention the olde ye name of el Gary Madine on ye olde wanderers ways forum until the four headless horsemen ride through Bradshaw gate and the night sky roars with fire and thunder and Oliver Cromwell turns up for a pint in the York with his copy of the doomsday book.

????

I count Sub appearances fan5 so 37 goals in 137 games equals 26% also as I stated year on year the goals per game ratio is decreasing year on year with last year at 17%

How the fuckery isn’t it an upgrade. Wilbraham was slated almost universally by folk on here until the last game heroics.

Donaldson is younger and quicker, plus i’m sure he has a better goal scoring record. Sure he ain’t much cop but he’s a better option than we had.

Good back up for squad folk need to give their heads a wobble, who were they expecting?

Improvement on the Wilderbeast(God bless him)

Aye. He’s signed as a squad player, Parky basically says so.

It’s a decent upgrade on Wilbraham. I think he’ll do fine. Obviously need another first choice option though.

Like I said I'll be behind him now he wears the shirt. From what I've seen of him he is not very good and kept us up with 2 sitters missed in 2 separate games. He is on the wane and that can't be argued.

Fwiw, not everyone was on wilbrahams back and I can think back to Sheffield wed cup game where he put in a great shift.

I hope you are right though after all that????

If he scores 1 in 3 isn’t that good?
