That’s a mistake he’s 10 times the player when he’s further up the pitch and not thinking he can stroke the ball round alla first part of league one season

i agree however when he is further up the pitch hes never in the game, he spent 80 mins closing the GK or full backs down.

 

yes that was more to do with our approach than Vela himself but where ever he may play we need to be getting more of him on the ball

We signed loads and loads of central midfield players last season. They weren't always the right ones....

If there's a player who needs to push on this season - it's Vela. He's been treading water for the past 2 or 3 seasons for me - I don't feel like he's developed into the player I expected he would.

If finances permitted I would look at replacing vela

I'm going with Iles. Lee Anderson has replied to someone saying he's never spoken to Rodwell or his agent...doesn't mean we're not signing him...but seems unlikely doesn't it?

I'd normally believe Nixon over Iles, but it's a bit strange Nixon saying Rodwell might possibly be available on loan, when he's supposedly had his contract cancelled by Sunderland. 

 

Not sure Rodwell quite fits our criteria mind, I'd say its very doubtful, I'd be surprised if both Iles & LA were both wrong in this case.
