Morais has had 1 season in the championship- 25 apps and is 32 years old.

What’s the harm in looking at Cotterill?

I'd take Anichebe if he was fit enough and could stay fit.

This. He's on a trial. Morais is ok, but championship is a stretch for him. Cotterill has played most of his career there and is younger. Worth a look. 

I'd take Anichebe if he was fit enough and could stay fit.

Think thats the big question over him.

 

Could be worth a free, short term contract.

 

Be good to see him back playing, he was damn good for us till the Kevin Nolan shithouse tackle.

The club have been pretty clear right from the off we have a bit of money to spend but that will be put towards a striker. which appears is happening

Yes the O'Neil one is a surprise but he can play a bit and look how the last 35yr old free agent worked out. Everyone was up in arms when he signed then moaning like fuck when he was released! 

 

Us looking at players who are 30/31 isnt a gamble and says more about the squad we had rather than what we will have moving forward in terms of average age 

If Cotterill is better suited to the Championship than Morais and won't get paid more than Morais, then it's not a bad move.
