I was pissed at a charity auction years ago when he was a bit of a star at Stoke and a squad signed Marc Wilson shirt was first out.

 

Nobody was bidding so I thought I’d help and start it off to get it going

 

Of course nobody else bid so I ended up having paid a fair few quid for it. Think I ended up giving it Brixton to raffle for summat or other

 

Slightly better were Ivan Klasnic’s boots and shirt that ended up in the bottom of my nephew’s wardrobe

 

Moral of the story - Don’t drink and bid

Yep I did blind auction for one of the match worn shirts at the dinner after the Charity game okocha played in bid £175 and won the Jussi shirt the thick bastard signed it on the shoulder so can’t even get it framed so it’s chucked under the bed.

The Sunderland forums thought he was gash, and ran through treacle the times he played.

He did alright for Hughes and Pulls though, might just suit a more rigid system

He usually puts emojis up quite a bit in advance of an official announcement. As he says they indicate a deal is done, but often he puts them there before a medical.

 

The best example being Stephen Darby last season. He indicated a done deal. Then nothing. Turns out one of his medical forms from Bradford had been lost and they needed to obtain it before the deal could be officially announced. Took weeks.

Beevers is a good league 1 player. We got away with him - just, last season but he gets pulled apart too easily for my liking at Championship level.
