Exactly this. It’s less money than we paid for Fabian Defreitas in 1994. Put that into perspective I don’t think it’s a bad deal. I can see him adding something to us even if it’s just as a bruiser up front.

If we are going to play him as a bruiser up front does that indicate Alf getting a lot less games like he did when madine was up top.

Without De Freitas we might never have made the Prem tbf. Worth more than £400k. Before my time mind and I’m lead to believe he was garbage barring that.

 

Not a fan of Magennis and Charlton fans seem to want to drive him here. Will of course give him a chance and world of support regardless.

Throw in Donaldson and ALF (regardless of how they play) and we’ve got far more attacking options than last year.
