Morphine first couple of days, then just pain killers, 3 weeks of injecting yourself with blood thinners, crutches for 3-4 weeks, couple of months before could drive, walking now without pain usually 4-5 miles a day, went on bike over Xmas did 26 miles, gradually getting back to full fitness,  surgeon reckons 12 months before it settles completely. I was rather hoping we would get an older head on board , If at all possible  But fair do's to the lad - If he was prepared to go out on loan to Southend who I think were in a financial crisis of their own whilst he was there and play amongst a team of kids , in a very similar situation to our own ,  at the start of last season , he deserves a chance. And he will have my support Does not bother me which club he is contracted to - and as you say am sure United would have offloaded him If he was not up to it.   Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
