Not sure there is a limit on the number of loans players a club can have, only on the number of loan players you can have in a match day squad, which is 5 I believe!

There is no limit to loans only how many players you can have from a club which is 4. but only 2 of can be above the age of 23.

We could theoretically loan 364 players from EFL / EPL clubs.

Rules must have changed. 95% certain it used to be 8.

We're going to find it tough bringing in a striker that the fans are going to be right behind from the off. 𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗟𝟮 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝗻𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝘂𝗽, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝟮𝟵 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗶𝗱𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘁𝗼𝗻. Looking in our league there's nothing really there, you have good players already at promotion chasing clubs then you get your Sam Nombe/Jevani Brown types at Exeter who are having great seasons in terms of goals & assists but could be a case of having a one season wonder in a tactic that's making them flourish whilst also being newcomers to this league so defenders don't know much about them. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗸𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝘁 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗹𝗯𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗼'𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗱 𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻. So we come to the championship where buying a prolific striker is not possible which means we have to take a chance on strikers who need a change of club & try to get them firing some way or other. Evatt will have seen that Dion was at his best when playing up top with a proper old fashioned physical 9 in Colby Bishop, so wants to bring in somebody of that ilk to try get the best out of Dion.

If we can bring in Hoskins then we'll have brought in the biggest standout L2 player, plenty of goals from midfield although seems like like's been playing on the wing this season. He's outgrown Northampton, at 29 in his prime definitely needs to be playing in L1. Also came out of Saints academy so no surprise he's making a good career of it.

Regarding the Burton striker it sounds like he has a release clause so could be easy to do if we have the cash, bang in form this season in a dull team the only hesitancy is he's had one half a good season in his career in terms of returning goals. Apparently Wigan have been stalling on the signing for a week or so now for whatever reason they're struggling to get it over the line, I remember him in Barnsley's front three alongside Daryl Dyke & Woodrow during the season Ismael had them playing "high energy, pressing from the front, intense football" they lost the play offs to Swansea in the semi final but he started a lot for Barnsley as a right winger at the time in positive season for them at Champ level.

Whether they're true or not is another story but positive names to be linked with, one of the most in form strikers in our league & the top scorer in L2.

Plus he takes penalties so that 11 goals in 25 this season looks a tad better than it actually is.

Never understood this argument. You put your best takers on them for a reason.

You earn penalties when there is pressure/goal scoring opportunities in the opponents' area- if the foul wasn't committed, then it's quite possible that the attacking players/leading scorer would bag another anyway.

But only 1 player can take the pens, if he played for us he wouldn't be taking them, until such time that Charles isn't trusted, even then Morley is probably 2nd choice.

Similar with free kicks, if you play for Southampton you aren't taking any until Ward Prowse leaves, and probably same with Maddison at Leicester.  Who takes free kicks/pens can definitely make a difference to the value of players.

I don't have an opinion on him, could be a good player, but he's scored 1 goal from open play since mid Nov.  Not exactly in form currently, and 3 of his goals were against FGR at home, not sure they count!!  (I'm joking BTW).

You wouldn't sign that South American keeper who used to score loads of free kicks if you need a striker

Nor would you put Graham Alexander who barely missed a penalty in a similar position

Course it does, but they don't get chosen to take them if they're shit at them.

Value is based on that ability!
