Whites man Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 It'd be dangerous in my house. I'd end up twatting everyone because I was hangry. The unlimited sausage on offer means it has not a likely possibility mate. Quote
DazBob Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 I'm doing the Wigan half marathon next Sunday; that goes through Haigh Hall so presumably that will be a test for the legs too? All depends which way you go I suppose. The Parkrun starts at the cafe and it's a constant downhill for the first half, Obvs meaning the second half is constant uphill back to the start/finish. It's nice though as its proper woodland running. I'd be hoping you get the downhill though if it's part of a half marathon. Still, it's hard on your knees. Best of luck. Quote
gonzo Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 The unlimited sausage on offer means it has not a likely possibility mate. Quite true. Quote
Whites man Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Got my last big training run before the Manchester Marathon on Friday, a 20 miler. After that calorie expenditure I can tuck into unlimited sausage with all the trimmings guilt free. Quote
Casino Posted March 10, 2017 Author Posted March 10, 2017 You stuffing sausage down your throat? Quote
Whites man Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 You stuffing sausage down your throat? What goes on tomorrow at Gonzo's pub stays in Gonzo's pub. Quote
DazBob Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 I did the Burrs Park run in Bury this morning, it's a good alternative if you can't make the usual Saturday morning runs and fairly flat too. Have my doubts about it being only 5k though as I came in 2 mins slower than I did at a far more challenging Haigh Hall run yesterday. Quote
Casino Posted March 16, 2017 Author Posted March 16, 2017 Tad over 2 stone gone 3 x 5ks a week 2 parkruns down and under 31 minutes (just) Quote

Tonge moor green jacket Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Will you be running in something like this. Quote
Whites man Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Day after Port Vale away. Anyone fit to run after that is a quitter and has no business going to the match. Quote
Casino Posted March 16, 2017 Author Posted March 16, 2017 Ahhh, otherwise known as day after promotion Very good point Quote
Whites man Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Right, booking Monday 24th as leave in anticipation of the 2 day hangover. Quote
ex_midlandwhite Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Tad over 2 stone gone 3 x 5ks a week 2 parkruns down and under 31 minutes (just) If that's Leverhulme, you'd be sub 30 on a flat one like South Manchester Quote

Carlos Posted March 17, 2017 Posted March 17, 2017 10 reps of 2kg v 40 at 1kg won't change much ???? Do 3 minutes of punching with 2k weights, hands up in front of your face all the time, you might want to change your opinion! Quote

Was up the hill and then back down afterwards, but even so fair fucks to anyone that does that every Saturday. Was half expecting dog walkers to overtake me at one point Quote
DazBob Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 I need a kick up the arse, over 2 mins slower for me at Bolton this week than my last run there. Seeing Casino struggle over the line and looking like he was going to die is the kind of effort I need to start putting in again. Quote
