As for 5-a-side, I'm the oldest player by about 10 years. Fitness is getting back up there, but my finishing is dreadful!!

Replying to myself, sad, I know.

Last night I was on fire. "Scoring for fun" as BFR would say!

Quick question. A lot on here want to lose weight and also know more about football than Alf Ramey

What would the interest be in a WW 5 aside tournament for Charity with team picked at random and a piss up afterwards?

Charity maybe Erin's fund?

Thoughts?

I walk miles every week with my dog and go to the gym 3 times a week too. I eat healthly during the week and no booze until Friday night. I was at my parents house the other day and my Mum said "you look thin, you look like you need a proper meal down you" I can't fooking win!

I’d play, well attempt to.

Nice one. How did you get on? I love park run. Such a simple idea and it appeals to runners of all abilities. I use it as my only speed session of the week

31:58 I got. Pleased after a heavy legs session on Friday.

Was great seeing all shapes and sizes getting involved

Cracking first effort

Hope you enjoyed it, love parkrun, but i guess thats a given being part of the event team! How's the course at Princes?

Really good. Enough of a challenge. Up and down which is good. Good location. Loads of parking etc. I didn't go for the coffee after but will Defo get involved soon. Gonna volunteer one in 10 I reckon

Right

14 on Jan 1st

13 would be nice at any point this year

I still want to drink beer at the weekends

But quite happy to up the exercise game

Might go for a swim before work

so who lost weight and who is still a fat cunt?

weighed myself on NYD this year

still 14 stone bang on

which all things considered, like copious amounts of ale and a lazyish diet, isn't so bad

but apparently my cholesterol is too high at 6.3 and should be 5 or less, so aiming to get that down in the next 3 months

got more time now to fit exercise into my daily routine so that's on the up this year

see what happens

I’ve become a total running bore.

Now down to 12 stone from 14. Did a 10k, half and a 100 mile month last year.

This year it’s manchester half, few more Run throughs in London and aiming for Edinburgh 2019.

Got my 5k down to almost 20 mins from 32 at the beginning of 2017, 10k in 39 mins and half 1hr 32.

My Garmin 235 was my amazing Xmas gift. I know it’s dull for many but I love it, stops me bouncing off the walls and stops any mid week drinking. The buzz afterwards is amazing.

Oh and managed to raise a few hundred quid for Autism - which for a miserable fucker like me was quite a nice feeling!

Got down to 14 and did a few parkruns

Hated running, needed an excuse to stop and I got one with a persistent groin niggle

Then I started working again

Over the year I am 4lbs down so the cycle needs to start again

This time I'm breaking 27 for parkrun and getting under 14 stone, by the end of may

Did a triathlon last year and though that would be the boost to me doing more. Since then I’ve been plagued with apathy, shin splints and a dodgy knee

The other half has forced me into a park run this weekend. Given my lack of fitness, the weather and parts are close to a cliff top I’m not overly keen

Sure you meant Crawley

I agree

Thanks both - we do a lot of work with special performances for kids with autism and seen how much love and hard work at times it is for those families so good to be able to help out as it’s one of the smaller charities.

Manchester half will be for Ochre as I’m running it with my Uncle whose husband was diagnose with cancer of the oesophageal cancer a few years ago.
