Over twenty replies and not sarcastic fucker has mentioned avoid travelling with Muslims to avoid a lengthy queue on arrival.

Standards and humour is slipping on here folks.

I was stopped by customs in JFK once. He apologised and said it was a random check and wouldn't take long. He hardly looked at my luggage and off I went. It did get me thinking maybe them muslamic terrorists should try bleaching their hair and getting a boob job.

New York, Vegas and Denver are ace. Loved Denver - really chilled, great bars/restaurants and great location for a drive up into The Rockies. eird though when you step off the plane - its so high up (Mile High city) that I felt like I had asthma for the first two days

Palm Springs - dull as dishwater

Didn't like LA, and Hollywood is a particular shit-tip

New Orleans - now that is one place that I would pay to avoid ever going to again. Downright scary. Got hustled in a street scam - walked out of a shop, bloke approached me, next thing there's eight of them all around me demanding money. Bourbon Street was revolting. Think Bradshawgate or Deansgate Locks and throw in 100's of septics throwing beer around chanting "USA, USA, USA". That said, the French Quarter serves the finest food I've ever had which makes it such a shame that the place is so horrendous

Done a few of the bigger cities - Chicago, Phoenix, L.A., Tampa, Orlando. All alreet in their own way but had many more enjoyable times off the beaten track so to speak.

Madison, Green Bay (obviously!), Milwaukee, Auburn, Mesa, Tempe. Had good times in all of those places.

Have to agree. We did Tuscon after being in Phoenix. Tuscon was miles better and it is a long way off a small place

Didn't get to Tucson mate but the next time I am in Phoenix I will make sure I take a look.

One thing I will say about that area, some of the Hispanic women  :dribble:

I loved Atlanta when I went.

All the MLK stuff is really interesting, Downtown has the Coca-Cola museum, a massive aquarium and the CNN tour.

Little five points is a brilliant place.

As for California, Balboa Island and Santa Monica are well worth a visit.

If you are doing cali to Vegas make sure to drive through the Mohave desert along I15 through Baker, CA(and the world's largest thermometer) and Primm Casino just as you cross in to Nevada.

Santa cruz is worth a visit and definitely do the big sur.. The Thrills were right.. actually they might have been wrong on Big Sur. Went to memphis as well. That was one of the scariest places I've been to in america, I felt far safer in new orleans and harlem. Still worth a visit though.

With memphis we drove to graceland and it was grim all the way there from down town. Pulled in to get petrol and it felt like we were going to get done over, blokes trying to see us stuff and then scoping the car. When we arrived the night before in downtown it was dead but as we got out two blokes claiming to be parking attendents tried fleecing us. They showed us their prisoner ID as proof they were parking attendents. Just felt like the blacks were cut off and living in shit seemed a bit of a pressure cooker. We got racially abused in harlem and I nearly got in a fight with a black bloke trying to sell me drugs in new orleans but there wasn't the menace there like memphis. We went to a minor league game in downtown memphis and it seemed like you were thousands of miles away from just outside the stadium.

Know what you mean re memphis

Beale Street was grotty and the surrounding area wasn't great

Though We stayed in cooper young neighbourhood which was v nice and safe and would happily go there again

And yeah the drive to Graceland was a bit run down

But worth going to Memphis just for graceland fer me

I can't recommend where I live - it's nice, but definitely not touristy.

Of all the places I've been, I can definitely say New York is worth seeing, perhaps LA and/or San Diego. Las Vegas is ok, San Francisco is pretty nice.

I've always wanted to go to Nashville, personally.

Either way, same as I'd say to anyone on here, if you're passing by Reno give me a shout.

Toronto is superb. Went for the BWFC preseason game amongst other things a few years ago. Humidity is stifling in the summer and the thunderstorms are spectacular. Spring and autumn are best apparently. Plenty to see and do - CN Tower, Niagara, the wineries. Decent restaurants and bars (Wayne Gretzkys is great), nice people, and good transport systems. Bolton Wanderers Soccer Club is only a short trip away as well

Did a bit of Canada last summer but was a bit whistlestop. Enjoyed Quebec, lovely quaint city and well worth a visit. Ottawa around the market area is very good too. Would like to spend more time there for sure.

Toronto we only had 1 night so will have to go back there. Montreal didn't impress though

Anyone done Canada? Fancy Vancouver and up that way as well

Got family in Saskatoon and my mum enjoyed her visit at the end of the year.

I've been to Ontario and the lakes around there.

Went on a canoe trip amongst the lakes for a few days camping under the stars which was breathtaking.

Niagra is a shit blackpool.

Toronto was very nice

In fairness aren't Burning Man and Lake Tahoe quite a draw? I'd defo head up your way for those

Burning Man is definitely a draw, but it's super hard to get tickets and you get to see far FAR too many man-parts for my liking.

Tahoe is BEAUTIFUL, summer or winter.

Some of the other things are very time-specific, such as Hot August Nights and Street Vibrations, and the Reno Rodeo is a lot of fun.

I would definitely say there's something for everyone here, especially if you're into outdoorsy stuff.

I've also got an uncle who lives over in Saskatoon

He emigrated about ten years ago now, loves it

Should go over and see him, it's out in the sticks though I believe

My Nans sister married a Canadian wheat farmer who grew for hovis and warbies.

Apparently farms for miles and not much else outside of Saskatoon or Regina.

Some distant relative has a place in the rockies 'close' to Saskatchewan and that looked beautiful.
