Moderators Carlos Posted July 13, 2017 Moderators Share Posted July 13, 2017 SKD was at Blackpool Pleasure Beach today. No jokes about donkeys...

Underpants
Draws are for left wing pussys. Get off the fence. Super Kev. Edited July 14, 2017 by Underpants
madthatter
My brain can't compute the question. SJM was my childhood hero. SKD was my adult hero. SJM instilled a belief in the team and supporters that no matter what, he was going to score. That allowed us to keep pushing and we simply never said die. SKD summed up everything we were about. Hard as a coffin nail and a decent footballer too. We battered teams up and down the country and shocked every fucker. He was fookin unplayable for a time. Draw. This. They say you should never meet your heroes but the 2nd time I met SJM (as an adult) was in the bogs at Ritzy's and he was on crutches (at Bradford iirc). Both pissed as farts but seem to remember starting a chorus of 'Walking in . . .' Only went up in my estimations Met KD once after the Spurs home game before we got relegated. Seemed reet and pissed off with the result. Both smaller than you'd expect
BOWTUN BAKED
No contest, loved them both for different reasons over their respective times, but ultimately SKD Shit his ticket with his exit, thanks to his Mrs. So it's SJM every time for me
Traf
SKD Shit his ticket with his exit, thanks to his Mrs. Certainly did. Fancy lying on TalkShite, eh? How do his kids sleep at night?

Boo
SJM for me, always seemed very grounded and 'one of the lads' but massive all round talent. A bit Gazza-esque.
Duck Egg
SJM easily for me. Brought us back from the doldrums, put us in the media spotlight, peed off Wolves fans and even went in goal once where he performed heroically. Everything you want in a swashbuckling hero
Walkden26
Without McGinlay there wouldn't have been Davies. McGinlay every day of the week for me.
Tombwfc
Ability wise it's SKD. It's easy to forget the way things ended, but in his pomp he was one of the most effective forwards in the country. It's hard to imagine any version of McGinlay being good enough to be capped for England. Super John is the bigger cult hero though. It's a toss up between SKD, Okocha, Nolan and Djorkaeff as to who the iconic Bolton figure of the 00s was, but for the decade previous to that SJM is an a class of his own. emus wig
The fact he nearly made thousands of wolves fans spontaneously combust is good enough for me . The white hot cup runs also will be never forgotten . Total respect for Kev but the romantic in me says SJM all the way .

To be fair kev exacted as much damage pretty much sending them down at their place. Twice over. 3-1 and 2-

gonzo
The last minute winner was 2-1 easter weekend if I remember right Really thought we were going to get our heads kicked in outside afterwards Ah yeah it was 2-1. Probably one of the moodiest exits from a ground I've ever had. We were separated from our lot of about 30 that were taken straight off by police and ended up in the middle of their mob of a good 80-100 that were basically running round in circles trying to pick anyone off that were bolton. They were battling with police trying to get anyone they could. A few of theirs made a slip and mobbed up on a corner and they were on the phone to another lot of theirs close by who were telling them where our lot were and to hurry up as they were going to steam the escort further up the road. We had to mingle in their mob pretending to be them until we reached sanctuary at the top of the road. We kept absolutely silent with heads down. When we got to the end, Pete turned to me and said thank fuck you didn't say anything....I said I was thinking the same about you haha
DirtySanchez
We weren't helped by having to stand near the away end whilst Zico wandered around trying to find where he had to go to collect his winnings from a bet
athywhite1958
Police tried to force us under the subway but we just pushed past them and went up the steps towards the dual carriageway, it was very tasty as we got booted all the way across the road to the coaches
