The graph has nothing to do with the cost of living crisis or inflation. Wasn’t that the point you were trying to make?

You dont think Brexit has anything to do with why things are dearer?

It’s fuck all to do with which sector someone works in. It just so happens the public sector are lagging way behind the private sector as far as the payment for a day’s work goes.

Working my whole life in the public sector and with a son just starting life in the private sector I know a 25 year old earning over £10k more in year one of a career than his old man in his 30th year of a career.

He sits in front of a computer all day dealing with suppliers from all over the world. I played pool all day. Fair day’s pay for a fair day’s work? Feel free to fuck off and then fuck further off!

Cheap as fuck. Step in my (now retired) shoes, I’ll show you shit no amount of wages can adequately compensate you for.

So if Brexit can’t save us from financial pressures that affect the EU, what exactly DOES it do? Because, right now, it seems to me that it’s not making a shit of difference.

Like i said earlier, my ginger friend, NI is holding up better than GB

Im sure theres many, many reasons for this

It’s ok, the DUP are trying to sort it so that NI is doing as well as the rest of us.

I suggest you take a look at the current real inflation across Europe. Then tell me its Brexit driving the  inflation levels we are currently seeing.

Inflation Rate - Countries - List | Europe (tradingeconomics.com)

And if you reckon it still Brexit please justify why countries have higher levels of inflation than the U.K.

I thought Brexit was supposed to shield us from the shit the EU have to put up with?

It's a cult now.

Yep. A blame it on Brexit cult. As I’ve said many times, I voted remain and I’d do it again. This relentless blaming everything on Brexit is not only boring, it’s totally baseless. The whole world is going through the same inflationary problems as we are here in the U.K.

you don’t have to tell mick he’s cleverest bloke on here…. But sadly one of the 3 stooges, you know those who have the one agenda who look down rabbit holes to find an article to fit that agenda when a simple non  biased information page proves that it’s Europe wide. Cults about right, sadly they wear a red rose and are stuck in 70s time warp party politics. Not worth the debate.

Covid threw a spanner in the works.
