Fair play to you. The speed of growth of UKIP was too fast to be funded by ‘normal’ donations such as yours. The likes of Aaron Banks stick upto £1m in the pot gives them a massive say.

i get that Ani , so we can talk about money playing the system but it is how the political world turns.

money talks , i am happy brexit happened

am i happy money like Phillip Green has is sloshing about in tough times

God no

Go for it Farage-wannabe. I assume from your 2 different replies that you weren't elected.

(It's "hear" by the way)

no not elected , but alot of people voted for me because i was prepared to represent them

it is not an easy thing to get involved with and there are mountains of paperwork

plus there is a financial cost

is there anything in your life that you would care about enough to stand up for and represent other people

And how is leaving the EU going to help those people you represented? Seriously.

Ok so not all Remainers.

How many Leaver MPs voted against the deal ? Surely they delayed this as much as anyone.

If we believe the new deal is the best we could have got surely everyone who stopped the original deal gets the same credit ?

You've tried this before.

Erg types happy for no deal.

So no, they nearly got what they wanted.

This was still a form of brexit, whether most didn't want it or not.

The remain mps wouldn't accept anything and nearly got what the erg wanted. Nobody can seriously suggest they were holding out for something better- it was open for all to see in the chamber- anything to stop it happening.

A bit of selective memory me thinks.

the people that turned out to vote for me believe in what i believed in back 6 years ago

my business had been strangled for 20 years by those  bastards and the hoops we had to jump through and the rules they brought in

they turned the whole thing into a closed shop

It's an eye opener getting involved in politics. I had a brief foray into it myself when I was in Kent with the Socialist party. What a set of absolute cretins that lot turned out to be!

5 mins into any meeting and you think "did i go in the right door tonight"

how do you know that ?

did you ask him ?

ever met him?

Its not the first time this sort of comment has been made.

A bit of reading shows how Farage gradually worked his way into leadership and started gaining traction.

At that point the money comes in.

But its convenient to say he was a mouthpiece, because folk don't like to acknowledge the job he did. OK, a single issue essentially, but he succeeded.

What have I tried ?

Once the referendum went through ‘it’ was always happening everybody irrespective of side had a right to try and get the result that best suited what they wanted.

Not sure which bits I have altered or been selective about The implication that Remainers alone took this to the brink is not true. You say the ERG types wanted no deal so surely in their interests to delay more than anyone else ?
