They have no interest in whats best for the country

Its about whats best for them

Ive got this nagging feeling she scraps the mini budget but tells her backers what shes doing first so they can short the markets again

Theyre corrupt as fuck

There is absolutely no doubt they’ll have to reverse on the budget.

I was in the Home Counties today amongst folk who only vote Tory.

They just laughed it all off. Blamed the papers and the news for over exaggerating. I’m not kidding.

The north south divide is more stark than ever and it’ll still be hard to oust them.

There’s plenty of folk doing just fine and they don’t give a fuck about Jonny Northerner and his gas bill.

Just to get a perspective on things, how many did you speak to?

All of them.

Well, maybe not all, but based on the cross section I was with, the affluent areas in the south east (where funnily enough there are a lot of parliamentary seats) just don’t give a fuck. They’re all Bolty. Blue is all.

Literally, how many did you speak to? 3? 5? 10? At a business meeting? Or did you acost people on the street?

I don't mean to get in the way of the Government bashing, but this is a fascinating speech from Josep Borrell.

It seems European countries are finally waking up to the problems globalisation and outsourcing practically everything can bring. I really hope it proves to be a real momentum shift.

Elaborate.

They were saying that to international investors we're now seen as a risky investment, along similar lines to Italy or Greece.

I don't personally think we're quite there yet, but just the fact that we're being mentioned in the same breath is disconcerting.

Nothing like, reverse the budget and things will settle. This lot in charge aren’t right so I’d still prefer an election sooner than later though.

Welcome to my world.

Sorry but south east London will never turf them out.

Poor, bills,..it's a northern issue. Fuck them, they really don't care for you (and they wear slip on shoes)

Quite a lot of the lefty liberal metropolitan elite have moved out to the shires recently so it may be closer than you think.

I don't live in the shires though, I live in South East London in a Borough that has always been Conservative - they even had Macmillian as their local MP.

Yes our MP is on the more centrist side of the party (wouldn't have a hope in hell otherwise) and also the local council is Conservative and has always been.

Also, the shift you discuss needs a lot more than a few people gentrifing a local high street with thrift shops and coffee bars.

I hope you're right mate. And the Greece talk does sound a little premature to me. But just the fact that it's a such a monumental fuck up that it's even being considered in those terms is concerning.

The thing is - there's probably a lot of sense in what they're trying to do. They've just done it too quickly, too brutally and without any consideration of the markets or public opinion.

If you're going to embark on this kind of phase as a party, then you have to be damn sure that you're bringing people along with you.

Totally agree that a GE would be the most sensible option. Truss has no mandate for this. If she wants one - then she needs to put this idea to the people and let them judge it for themselves.

My worry is about the damage has already been done.
