13 years but it’s still labours fault. You have to be quite naive to fall for it but many do.

You completely miss the point..  Labour voted against the bill, a bill that was investing billions into resources for the police. All to protect our the scruffy cunts who trashed Bristol.

Which, of course, is more important than the government promising 20k extra officers by March 2023, and failing to do so.

Of course the government have to keep their part of the deal, mitigating circumstances are that there is a shortage of Labour… failure to deliver and the electorate will hold the Tories feet to the flame.

I’ve fallen for nothing, Tories produced a bill to invest more money into policing and tougher sentences… the Labour Party opposed it… it is not a good look.

You really have. You're ignoring all the bullshit in the bill, and the fact that it passed anyway due to the Tories massive majority. Labour voting against it was meaningless, but they're the opposition... They didn't vote against "investing more money into policing". Surely you're not that thick?

They will.

Except for those that claim mitigating circumstances, and those that blame Labour for voting against the bill.

It’s the Labour Party ultimately who will suffer if they lose votes because they opposed a bill that essentially was a correct and proper policy decision and most folk would agree with the sentiment of the bill. But let Labour crack on with crackpot decisions. They never learn.

The bullshit about freedoms for scruffs to wreck towns and get away with it… don’t think I missed it. Do you think Labour gained any credibility from opposing the bill? It might persuade a few greens and anarchists to look towards them. While it turns off millions of ex working class Labour like me.

They also voted against the policy to bring back the 20,000 or so police officers that were lost following austerity.

All is far from rosy in the world of policing, but you'd expect everyone to want the numbers back.

Black mark for Tories for losing them in the first place but black mark for Labour for voting against the policy to bring them back… Labour should rise above the party politics and vote for the good of the country rather than petty political games…in the long run that’s what most voters want to see.  Somehow they’ve not sussed it yet.

Of those 40 hospitals that Boris promised, none have been built.

10 of them haven’t even got planning permission yet.

Still, he said it would happen, and he was a beacon of truth in all matters.

How long does building a hospital take?

One day they’ll have to prove that they are more than an opposition. Not sure when that day will come but they need to do more than just opposing things for the sake of it. For all the faults of this government, there are many, Labour have to show why they are capable of managing the economy. Nothing I’ve seen shows that. Can anyone tell the class how they can?

It’s not for me to defend this government. I never have. I’d just like to see how the alternative, Labour, would. No one has.

No other Party has any obligation to detail their plans until an election is called. Nobody is asking you to 'defend' the government, but you're asking what an opposition would do differently, while failing to ask what the current Government are going to do...

We know what this governments plans are. What are Labours plans that will make our lives better? As you say, they don’t have to until the next election. It’s an easy ride for Labour at the moment. That will change. Sooner or later they will have to revert from an opposition to a government in waiting and show how they can govern this country.
