Yep. Hyphenated surnames help too. Fortescue Smythe for example.

Quite staggering levels of ineptitude. They want people to vote for five more years of this? 🤦‍♀️

And some will. Mind boggling.

I honestly don't think they do, I think they want out, so they can clear the decks, and let somebody else deal with the mess they're leaving behind, because they know, as things stand, they can't

Bent fuckers

Remeber folk, theyre NOT all the same

Jumped before he was pushed - no way Benton would have got through the allegations - 4k a month to lobby on behalf of gambling investors and to hand over sensitive information, funnnily enough it was a breach of parlimentary standards 😁Also wonder how this sits alongsides Benton's Christian faith. Another one who was a school teacher and basically got really fucking greedy.

Its only over a 3k majority, its going to be another bloody nose for Sunak, and bare in mind this is the most by-elections we've had for decades. I think the Conservatives have actually gone beyond implosion now.

Hope they call the election for October and get it all done and over with before Christmas.

 Pack it in. No one in their right mind can think anything at all could have been better under those two fucking fruitcakes. Th election result confirmed it.

I'll give it 3-6 months from electing the latest red shower before the shit is spraying all over the red flag.

I shall be waiting.

And I'll say it again, the brexit/reform/blue rosette on a lamppost loons are salivating for Labour to get into power. They get to bitch and moan and not have to defend the indefensible anymore, forgetting all consequences of the mess that they have helped prop up and support.

The usuals on here are going to have a lovely time - along with GB News etc the slightest misstep and they'll be wanking themselves into a told you so frenzy.

You forget that the Tories have given us 12 years of excuses.

Just use those.

”they said sorry”

”let’s just move on”

”intransigence”

”the opposition is even worse”

Aye, won't matter though, everything so polarised now, no subtly. Unless Labour are giving everyone bags of gold each month and NHS waiting lists are down to zero they are going to get pillared.

It's not like when Blair came to power, its going to be a very tough 4 years for Starmer.

Labour will, unfortunately, be judged on their first term back in power, when they won't have had to undo even a fraction of the shit the Tories will leave behind.

The incumbents are a bit like the lad at work who has handed his notice in, but they're making him come in each day to see the time out. He's doing the bare minimum, causing as much shit as he can and nicking everything he thinks he can get with. I remember sitting listening to Clubcall (£1+ per minute) and racing lines all day most days when I was seeing a notice period out many years ago.

And the Tories will just say those are excuses. Can't win.

I, like many, would just like MPs who are committed to being public servants and a government that aims to work for the country rather than stoking up problems to stay in power without an actual thought to where this leaves the country.

Oh and a party that is not always trying to manage itself and the country bearing the brunt of their psychodrama.

I watched the Boris documentary the other day. They mentioned on it that David Cameron openly admitted he chose 2016 for the Brexit vote because he thought it was the optimum time to minimise the impact on his legacy as PM.

Apart from the fact the result had the exact opposite effect, it shows that MPs will use something that massive simply as a chess piece for personal gain.

Same with tax cuts in an election year, or Sadiq Khan finding money to freeze tube fares in the year of a mayoral vote. They don’t care as much about people’s finances two years before an election, but suddenly when it’s round the corner they will make large policy shifts for personal gain.
