MancWanderer Posted May 2, 2024 Posted May 2, 2024 Love it round here at election time. Oldham council dominated by Labour and all sorts of accusations about block voting, pandering to brown folk, too many mosques, yada yada yada. But barely anyone round here would ever vote Tory. So over the years we’ve seen the rise of the independents so that our little area can tell Oldham council to fuck off when all the money is spent in Glodwick and all the shithole areas and we get fuck all. All well and good until it becomes Pythonesque with the Independent Party vs the Local Independent Party and the arguments on local social media make royal white and Cheese’s bickering look like a friendly discussion over a pint Quote
Winchester White Posted May 2, 2024 Posted May 2, 2024 I hope the Tories get a tonking. Not because I think all Tory councils are badly run across the country because that is clearly not the case. However just to give Sunak and the rest of them a shove to call a GE sooner rather than later. Quote

He’ll be on the ballot paper at the next election though. He’s all over Facebook like a rash all of a sudden. Gone from one half-arsed post about potholes every month, to an almost daily and increasingly earnest succession of posts where he’s basically begging for people to keep him in a job. Its pathetic. But if you dare ask him a question, he blocks you if he doesn’t like it. Just another quivering, dimple-chinned, irrelevant whopper who will be feathering his nest before he’s dumped on the reject pile within a year. Good riddance. Edited May 2, 2024 by Spider Quote

This farce in Peckham. Little cunts barely out of nappies allowed to keep their face coverings by cops in regular uniforms. One shithouse punches a press cameraman in the back of the head (wouldn't be from the front would it) and is immediately detained by a policeman. Drags the assaulter to one side, talks to him and lets him go. Assume the conversation went along the lines of "Sadiq has instructed us not to arrest any of you lot so please don't be naughty". The country has been sold down the river by lefties and I fear that there is no rescuing it. Get out while you can. Quote

bolty58 Posted May 3, 2024 Posted May 3, 2024 Guessing he's been out on the turps again. Possibly celebrating their Blackpool South victory. He's going to be very pissed for a long while as they will have much to celebrate. Without any other turmoil the blues were up for slaughter this time around purely from having been in too long. The SNP disaster will deliver the reds plenty of seats and then factor in Reform fracturing the conservative vote and it may well be a red UK for a very long time unless the gobshites slide into their usual malaise. Get out while (if) you can. Quote
little whitt Posted May 3, 2024 Posted May 3, 2024 Not much Change in bolton Labour lost 2 seats looking at all the Numbers its a Low turn out Quote

gonzo Posted May 3, 2024 Posted May 3, 2024 When the fuck did my ward change?! I was always in Ben Wallaces gang, included Ingol and Lancaster and that all that lot. Just typed my post code in to see if results are in and I'm in a new ward now which dragged Poulton/Hardhorn in with Thornton-Cleveleys and fired Preston and Lancaster off. Looks like it could be Labour then afterall. Fantastic Quote

Spider Posted May 3, 2024 Posted May 3, 2024 Boris didn’t take his ID with him initially so was turned away at the polling station. It’s not like it was a law he introduced or anything. Quote

It's because of how they've run the country since they allowed that dick Johnson to run the party, it's been downhill ever since then. To blame the fact it's down to being in power for a long time is ridiculous, and shows that you may be a little out of touch with the political feeling of the public, here in the UK Edited May 3, 2024 by Sweep Quote
Winchester White Posted May 3, 2024 Posted May 3, 2024 Chorley stayed Labour of course gaining 2 councillors. Tories lost 2 leaving them with just 1 in Croston. Quote

To blame the fact it's down to being in power for a long time is ridiculous, and does you may be a little out of touch with the political feeling of the public, here in the UK The big majority after the 'Brexit election' gave a feeling of complacency, Boris was incompetent by every measure and appointed people with no right to hold positions in senior government. (Hancock,Dorries, Coffey etc etc). The level of infighting has been disgraceful, they can not put forward a single radical policy as a party because at least one faction will oppose it and the complete and utter lack of leadership makes them look stupid. Every week they send MPs to appear on Question Time and it seems every week the audience are laughing out loud at their answers. The amount of money that has been chucked at the Rwanda scheme at the expense of other options makes them look even more stupid everytime it is discussed but they are so out of touch they think it is a vote winner. Even Farage and Reform take the piss out of it. Bolty is right they have been in power for too laugh but to suggest that is 'purely' the reason is nonsense ignoring the corruption, infighting and incompetence. The one remaining argument they seem to have is that the 'other lot' will be as bad. The left have ruined the country apparently so surely the right wing can be equally as effective when out of government ? Edited May 3, 2024 by Ani Quote
Casino Posted May 3, 2024 Posted May 3, 2024 all of the above @Anibut as a lifelong tory voter, i may have forgiven most of it but, above all that they are riddled with bent cunts say what you like about may, at least shes a decent person theres one or two others who could give them a fresh start but sadly they'll probably go in the upcoming massacre Quote
