Not while NATO has got the backing of the US. Which can no longer be counted on sadly.

And Russia are rebuilding more effectively than we all like to admit in the West.

They will achieve their objectives in Ukraine at some point without Western intervention. In my armchair general opinion of course.

Thing is Russia don't seem to be making further in roads into Ukraine

Might take a village but it's not Kyiv which was their original aim and thought it would be done in a couple of weeks

Things might change with the west saying they can launch rockets into Russia but that obviously elevates things between them and the western countries

Could Russia invade another country at the same time? Don't know. They could just chuck numbers at it like they always do

Maybe wait till the west get bored of funding Ukraine, advance further and maybe take part of it

Then go from there

It’s not inevitable I think it’s highly unlikely, don’t think putin is that stupid.

He’s going to be emboldened by the fact Ukraine haven’t stopped him despite billions of dollars and tons of armaments from the west.

Id hope you’re right, but the bloke is hellbent on a legacy similar to his heroes. As far as he’s concerned, the return of the USSR is all that matters to him now.

Any sign of weakness in NATO and they press. That's my opinion.

What do we reckon the percentage chance is? 10%? 20%?

At what point does the chance prompt policy makers to take our defence seriously?

I can see Trump getting back in - and Putin pushing on amongst the confusion of the transition. Russia have really stepped up the 'nibbling at the edges of NATO' in recent months. We HAVE to be ready if the worst happens. And collectively I don't think we are......

Putin said yesterday he'd be open to giving arms to other countries for them to use against the west.

Who would he have in mind do we think? 🤔

Belarus probably. If he uses tactical nukes - he'll not launch them from Russia that's sure as shit.

There's also a decent chance he'll share tech with North Korea in exchange for shells and ammunition.

The only two that came out with any credit were the Scotcher & Welsher blokes.

If after the Leader head to head, and that last night, this is the best we can offer, theres no real hope for the immediate future.

Fucking atrocious the pair of them.

Inferiority complex on legs. "Scotlands oil". Scotlands energy". What a dick.

Welcome to "Reform" and their ridiculous soundbite policies 😁

Your opinion. The key aim is to be the disruptor. Next to take over the conservative side of politics completely.

Your confusion over all matters Scottish is genuinely brilliant to watch.

If your previous endorsements are anything to go by, they won't exist in 12 months time.

Belarus president will do whatever Putin tells him

But like of the start of the Ukraine invasion

Belarus is fucked as a country and they need Russia to prop them up

He's promised to have it "all sorted" within 48 hours hasn't he?

They'll achieve the first part, which will wipe out the Conservative Party this time around, purely by splitting the vote - they'll have one or maybe two seats in Parliament, so they won't do much disrupting, no matter how loud they shout. The Conservative Party, hopefully, will get there act together over the next term, and once more become a party that people can vote for.

Wouldn't upset me pal. Voted for them all my life. Hopefully Reform will force them back on to the right track.

Might take some forcing mate.

Fallen into the progressive trap, at a time when the country needs someone with a backbone.

Sunak needs to stop fasting- it's rotting his brain.

Aye, because the last thing anyone wants is 'progress'.

He has. Presumably by appeasing Putin and offering him control of the parts of Ukraine he's already taken. Along with assurances that they will never be permitted to join NATO.

I watch far too much US commentaries and stuff on YouTube. The funding of Ukraine is absolutely massive news over there and a major vote winner for the Republicans.

Bit like our lot blaming any Impoverished areas on boat people, theirs is all getting blamed on the money they are sending to Ukraine. They are lapping it up. Fox news and Co and massive drivers with it.

Be careful what you wish for I say...

I'm not sure anybody, even those maniacs who will vote Conservative again this time, give a fuck what Johnson has to say these days

I'm more interested to know what the pro Tories on here think about BJ being anti Semitic

Because that's a bat they've clung on to when trying to criticise labour recently

But for balance I love that he's called KS a ball chewing gimp

Not because I think he is one

But what a great headline
