Make sure you don't mate. There are quicker ways to end it all.

With this lot it will be death by a thousand cu(n)ts.

Speaking to my FA last week.

She was saying plenty are just waiting to invest, wanting the right conditions.

Markets reckon interest rates will continue to fall in the longer term, with a bit of a plateau first.

Well, bugger me, they couldn't have made it much worse a time to do so.

But, a select group of public sector workers have been given big rises, with little or no requirement for modernisation of working practices, so that's OK.

NHS may be starting, and I hope that happens quickly, we'll soon see.

public sector workers who also get a final salary index linked pension mid 50s or 60, then another state pension at 67, shame I couldn’t get in fire brigade when I applied at 29.

Not any more. Now it's a career average one.

Everyone gets a state pension, on top of whatever scheme they're in.

Of course local government ones are very good, but you can't complain about folk who have one.

Going forward, it can't continue in that way, unless more is paid in by employees, as they are becoming unsustainable.

That is a separate argument to the overall rises-the railways were saved by the government in covid, and took years to get back (maybe haven't fully recovered), and have some mental practices.

Give them a good increase in return for improved productivity.

Rises aren’t across the board neither. Wife literally had no rise for several years.

Have had one last 2 or 3 years now, but it's a fixed amount, which is decent for those lower down the pay scales, but shite for those higher up.

Can anyone check if the Junior Doctors strike or the train strikes cost us more than the cost of settling the strikes ?

I know it has been posted before but not sure what was said.

Who said 'stupid'? He speaks with passion and commitment. Not like the fucking drones he was surrounded by. Trough swillers in it for personal gain. He isn't - much as some of you will try to paint it that he is.

So why his ‘party’ a company rather than a political party?

One that Farage owns 53% of.

...and plenty of others. The penny might drop with some of their supporters on here who will actually be paying for these ridiculously high pay rises.

I suggest that you ask him my friend. I am too far away to be over all of the ins and outs.

Neither can he.

Seems to have a good handle on it from where I am sitting. I suppose the proof of the pudding will be at the next GE.

I still believe that some sort of merger or alliance with the Cons is a possibility. If it comes to pass it will be daylight second.

Maybe but can’t see it personally. I’d hope not as I currently it dilutes the Tory vote. More of that please.

Bit strange though I’m sure you’d agree

Diversity and inclusion Mick. Diversity and inclusion.

Just because one doesn't get it, it isn't necessarily wrong (or so I'm told quite regularly).

I can understand why you'd say that. It definitely does dilute the Conservative vote as we have recently witnessed a 'landslide' for your side with a whopping 33.7% of the vote.

Doesn't mean much, but a recent poll showed Conservative top, Reform second and Labour third, Lib Dem fourth.

A coalition one way or the other: blues v red+yellow.

Who remembers when only 36% of the electorate voted in favour of Brexit?

It's one of those things, even though 36% did vote for it, in about 5 or 6 years, nobody will admit to it (other than those who did, and are willing to admit it was a mistake)

We were all supposed to be winners.

@PatrickBateman is busy writing down all the benefits as we speak. It’s taking him a while so it’s clearly a MASSIVE list.
