Hi Wanderers Fans

Bristol city Fan popping by in peace

first of all , congratulations on your immediate return to the Championship - SOmeasy to get stuck in League One (as we know all too well ! )

Just thought I'd let you know about our experience with Aarron Wilbraham (And a view that's held by seemingly every supporter , member of staff and fellow players)

This is the thread on our forum about his departure

http://www.otib.co.uk/index.php?/topic/187751-aaron-wilbraham-to-bolton-confirmed/

Consumate Pro - brilliant mentor and example to team mates

A fantastic bloke

Organiser of team bonding , days out etc

Described by fellow players as probably the main reason we survived last year , by bonding and marshalling the dressing room

He might be 37 but kept himself in great shape and still has all the knowledge and plenty of skills to play as a good old fashioned target man and a happy knack of scoring important goals

He does have to have a very painful injection every few months (in his hip I think) to play but was rarely unavailable for us

Quite simply epitomises the word PROFESSIONAL for a footballer

Will be invaluable around the squad and in the dressing room whatever he delivers in game time

Our loss is very much your gain - I promise

He was undoubtedly our most influential player in our squad over last 3 seasons and has achepieved legendary status in that relatively short time

Embrace him and appreciate him - a true diamond

He could be your signing of the season

Thought I'd pop in as on the face of it signing a 37 year old doesn't appear too inspiring

Best of Luck for the coming season :)

It's a Westcountry invasion.

Reminds me of Rivals days.

BTW. How's Bobby Reid getting on?

hi genie

Bobby Reid is our youngster whose next year is always going to be the one !!!

last season he improved and pre season has been (Due to striker injuries) been playing as a second striker and notching a few goals

could be his season to really push on but from previous experience he will probably be out the side by September !!!!

don't fancy a straight swap of head coaches do you ? ;)

Does he like salad then?

Don't think Wilbs is a salad man

Very fit bloke though !!!

Wilbs pre match meal is a bagel , covered in strawberry jam and scrambled egg on top !!!

I don't like Bristol City, I've never forgiven them for twatting us 3 nil at Wembley in the Freight rover trophy back in 86 and even worse was their infamous CSF wrecking our salad bar!

Only if straight swap owners as well.

Unfortunately work means won't get to see what he's enabled you to do to the Gate.

Physically strong, decent pace

Wholehearted & Committed and loves to burst forward

End product sometimes lacking and can appear 'clumsy' at times

Defensively ''ok'

Decent signing IMHO

With 2 of their goals coming from Mr Riley here iirc. They were one bloody big bogey side for us for years
