I openly admit to not being parkys best fan however can’t fault the job he’s done

Some signings baffle me

But Henry was a good one and also little

Don’t get how any Bolton fan can’t like Parky. He’s ace. Proper ace. Everything I want in a manager.

calm down he’s done a good job

It’s a genuine question. What do you want? In my time watching we’ve had three genuinely good managers. Bruce, Sam and I would put Parky in there.

Under the circumstances he’s worked miracles.

There are managers who suit certain types of clubs. Sam was perfect for us. I reckon Parky right now is too.

He's done a great job. Exceptional, if he keeps us up. I'm at a loss as to why someone wouldn't like him.

In the BN comments on Friday there were folk criticising him and saying he should be sacked come the end of the season whatever happens. I assumed they were either Bury fans on the wind up, or the idiots that boo his substitutions

I wanted survival and he’s nearly done that, so job well done

I agree,he’s the first proper manager we’ve had since Sam

Parkys done an outstanding job I think over nearly 2 seasons he’s shown nous flexibility and determination he’s a cut above coyle freedman lennon. The next Sunderland Blackburn Wigan Bolton might come calling.

i don't know how old you are.

he has not been ace . aka first 11 games.

signing henry has changed the team.

we have been lucky in several home games that we have won / drawn

ace managers

rioch

todd

alladyce

i am old enough to remember ian greaves , but took 3 years to get us up,and apart from a few games was not entertaining.

He’s done a great job with limited budget you should just hold your hands up and say well done Parky.

Todd spent a fortune relatively and failed. Not an ace manager by any means. He walked the championship with a very good side but in the top flight he couldn’t organise a very good group of players. His record signing in Holdsworth only prospered once Sam arrived.

Some just can't admit they were wrong in spite of irrefutable evidence to the contrary.

He deserves massive credit if we stay up and I hope we can keep him for a few more years.

Failed is a bit strong imo.

Took us to our biggest ever points total and was goal difference from keeping us up.

Play off final the following year.

Not a bad return imo and doesn't get enough credit.

not so sure about being a failure

he was unfortunate in that he got the full time job too late in the first PL season, he massively improved that side

there's no way you can call the 100 goal season a failure

unfortunate to go down on 40 points on GD on the last day but it was still mostly a championship assembled side, though on that front he made some very good signings

the only time I felt let down was the play off final v Watford

It didn't have a goalscorer

Doesn't matter how good the rest of the team is

By getting Morais on a free, he found a way to score goals

Fcuk me, he even turned your lover Gary into a 6 million pound player

Im with you on this. He was a bit shit overall though.

95/96 we weren’t good enough, not sure anyone was to blame.

We had the superb 96/97 season which was stunning.

I think he should of kept us up the year after and that squad the year after should of certainly gone up. We lost a lot of players who went on to have decent careers due to this failure.

The Scandinavian only policy seemed to work well but I think it showed a bit of Todd’s character.

His book is one of the dullest I’ve read and I always remember Phil Brown said he was light years off Sam.

I remember being very disapointed when frandsen left but sadly felt it was necessary to get Todd out.

Morais was a good move very good

We didn’t need a scorer there was enough goalscoring threat

Gary turned himself into a 6m player

The drugs Vincent and Colin have been taking turned Gary into a 6m player.

It’s not rehashing old ground as it’s been done to death but I think everyone agrees the fee was incredible
