Forest V Barnsley

Worthy of its own match thread I reckon.

Absolutely massive this.

Exeter v Stoke springs to mind.

I see what the last few posts are saying, it probably won't be much better next season if we do stay up but surely by staying up it's the only way we can attract a buyer who can take us forward, who k

Enjoyed the Tykes Tv film. Barnsley fans singing "You're scabs until you die"

My biggest concern on the last day of the season is Preston v Burton. PNE have had a cracking season but they are prone to the occasional slip at home and may well be on the beach by then.

I guess another concern is that Forest dealt efficiently with Barnsley last night - and might do the same with us on the last game.

I'm not sure that I agree with these fans who claim there are "easy fixtures" and teams will be "on the beach"

At this stage of the season, if you're bottom 4 or 5, there is certainly no easy game. Other teams also can't wait to try and send you down as well, and if they have no pressure on them, they can really go for it.

What you've said above is that you're worried that one team might be on the beach, as they'll have nothing to play for, and on the other hand, another team with nothing to play for is being efficient and might cause us an issue

We've won 9 games out of 44 and only scored 36 goals, and we're still in with a chance of staying up......it really does show how shit plenty of other teams really are

I'm worried about Burton on Saturday. They've won 2 in a row which for a side down the bottom who were dead and buried represents momentum. They've beaten Derby at home and Sunderland away. They have nowt to lose.

We've not won in 6 and have won 2 since January, both at home and both 1-0. We haven't won an away game this calendar year and have won one away game at this level in 40 odd.

Being totally dispassionate about the whole thing it is hard to make a case for us. In football though, anything can happen and I fully believe if we go and play our best we can beat them. However, that is far easier said than done.

SheffU v PNE on Saturday is a 'must win' for both.

If the Blades fail to win they definitely fail to reach the play-offs.

If Nob End fail to win, and either Derby draw/win at Villa or Millwall win at Boro, then they too are eliminated from the top 6 hopefuls.

If it's a draw PNE have a big goal difference to clear to catch Derby anyway.

But even a win for PNE could leave them short, if Derby win and Boro don't lose.

So if they win at Bramall Lane only to find they have missed out they could be deflated.

Furthermore they could choose to blood youngsters ...

The teams at the bottom know what they need to do, even they have underachieved so far.

Burton would have settled for this position at the start of the season.

So might we.

Barnsley now host Brentford, who certainly need a point and preferably 3, and then visit Derby, who will definitely still be in the play-off mix.

Not the best pair of fixtures to end with for the Tykes!

Mad how it ain't Barnsley we should be worried about overtaking us but Burton.

Football. Bloody hell

Agree.   Similar to when we played Brum.

I'm semi-confident we can up our game for these last two, result last night will have given them a boost as well you'd think.

Is this the biggest thread for a none Wanderers match?
